I have stayed in a cottage in Cumbria before, but this was beyond expectations.
As we pulled in we was already taken away by the look, style and amazing views.
The cottage had everything we needed and on arrival we was greeted with a couple of bottles of wine and some chocolates, nice touch after a long drive. the cottage was very clean, new with modern bathrooms and kitchen.
The whole cottage felt very homely and cosy, a couple of nights we sat in the lounge area with the fire burning, again plenty of logs provided.
The beds where comfy and clean, definitely more comfy than ours at home :)
We went as a group of 9 and there was more than enough room, table was big enough for 12-14 so was nice to all sit around and have dinner.
The views from the cottage are breathtaking. our main highlights were 1st the hot tub. sitting in this in the evening under the stars, looking out towards the Irish sea was perfect.
2nd was the games room, again another great touch, we spend a few evenings in here, pool table, table tennis, darts, air hockey.
Plenty of games and DVD's for the kids to keep them busy.
I always like to add some positive criticism and areas of improvement.
We had a few light bulbs missing. in a couple of bedrooms and landing, didn't realise until it was dark.
And with technology these days the WiFi could have been better, but being in the middle of no where this may have been the best it can be but it kept cutting out
Being picky we had to do some manual DIY work on the table tennis net and the pool table may need re clothing soon.
But as mentioned we had a fantastic time, the owners where lovely. the cottage was stunning and we are already looking at dates for next year to go back.
