Meadow cottage is a wonderful, detached cottage bursting with character located in the village of Golant, near Fowey in Cornwall. There are three bedrooms set over two floors comprising 1 x king-size double, 1 x double and 1x twin, as well as a family bathroom and separate basin and WC. Sleeping six people there is also a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and electric log-effect fire. Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden with furniture and off road parking for 2 cars. Located in a wonderful area of England, Meadow Cottage is an ideal holiday any time of the year!

Three bedrooms: 1 x ground floor king size-double, 1 x ground floor double, 1 x twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath, shower, WC and basin. Cloakroom with basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area and electric log effect fire.

Area
A waterside village based on the river Fowey, Golant offers a Fisherman’s arms Pub, the Comorant Hotel and Restaurant and a retail art gallery. Inspired by many writers including the author of “The Wind in the Willows”, you can enjoy the river first hand by going on a kayaking trip. Fowey is a popular yachting village with a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and can be found 3 miles from Golant.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Meadow cottage was absolutely lovely.. Three spacious bedrooms so plenty of room for us and our three children. The sitting area was also quite big with a dining table and nice kitchen. What made it though is the enormous field right outside the cottage which was ours to run and play in. My boys absolutely loved it. Fantastic!! We visited lots of places, the lost gardens of heligan, Charlestown, trelissick and landhydrock (national trust properties). Godrevy beach and seeing the seals at mutton cove is a must. Nowhere more than an hour away from this cottage. Would highly recommend!!

Excellent cottage, lovely position, perfect for children and dogs.. Very pleasant , helpful owners who live on site. Steep walk down to Golant, even steeper walk back up but well worth the trip. Nice friendly pub in Golant. Good walks from the cottage and easy drive to Fowey, Eden project, Polperro etc. Definitely will be going back. Loved the holiday.

We loved the peace and quite.. Always a joy to return in the evening after an exhausting day. The beds were comfy and we all sleep well. A lovely walk around the grounds. Hosts couldn't do enough for us. Certainly would stop again.

Cottage was very clean, and the setting with the meadow opposite was lovely.. The bedrooms were very nice, the upstairs area was quite basic but functional. We had a few minor issues which Terry and Sarah sorted immediately which was great. My only grumble is that the cottage is advertised as having an enclosed garden, and in fact it had post and rail fencing and a big gap under the gate which meant that our dogs could just get straight through. We did have a nice time but we would not have booked it if we'd known as its hard to relax when you have to keep an eye on the dogs all the time. In future I would definitely check this with any owners before booking. Other than that though it was a nice place to stay.

I would highly recommend this accommodation.. The cottage was lovely, the setting was beautiful and peaceful. Good parking facilities. Easy access to all the places we wanted to visit. Sarah-Jane and Terry were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had about the cottage and places to visit. The cottage was clean and spacious. Our party was 4 adults and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room. There is a good sized garden with chairs and table and the use of the meadow beyond was lovely for an early morning or evening stroll with the dogs. There was a welcoming couple of bottles of Fowey cider. And a lovely touch was the jar of dog treats and a tag for a dog’s collar giving the name and phone number of the cottages. We had a wonderful 2 weeks. Thank you Sarah-Jane and Terry. We will be back.
