Extremely well equipped cabin, had everything we needed and more! Only slight negative for us was the bed size, a king size would have made our stay more comfortable. Lovely location and lots of things to do near by.

The Lodge is located at Cropton near Pickering a beautiful part off the country. The village has a superb pub with excellent locally brewed beer and very good food but no other shops in the area etc. That said Pickering is only a few miles away and has everything and then some. The lodge itself is in a very quiet but due to the trees quite dark location. Very clean throughout. Very well equipped kitchen with fridge with ice box, cooker, kettle, dish washer but has no washing machine. Plenty of cutlery and crockery. The reception is a lounge kitchen diner which is quite spacious with a very high ceiling. I believe it has underfloor heating though we did not have need of it during our stay. Hot water on tap. The three bedrooms are of a good size but the beds in two of them are doubles and two singles in the other. Wardrobe space was adequate and more than fine for us as we travel fairly light. The double beds were too small and extremely firm which was uncomfortable for my wife. As I am over 6ft tall and 16st was too small for me, so this was rather disappointing. That said a king size would rather fill the bedrooms. Bath Towels provided though only two bath sheets on this occasion which was not great for three adults. Shower head clamp was not correct for the post it is mounted on and had to have a sponge piece from a sponge cloth put in to enable it to be used. As with most wet rooms the water did not stay within the curtain. That said the shower had good pressure and was as hot as you wanted. The Towel rail switch and extractor fan are over the door on the outside of the bathroom. A lovely area to stay in for sure but for the money it needs some fine tuning. Centre parks beds and bedding would make it excellent. Because of the beds we would not consider this accommodation again, but other than than it was fine. We would recommend if the beds were bigger or to smaller friends who preferred harder beds.
