Fabulous house in a beautiful setting.. Everything was perfect (even the weather!) Hopelessly clean, and everything you could possibly need is provided. Jane is reassuringly available should you need her, and is so welcoming. Couldn't be better, highly recommend

The house was just amazing we loved it as soon as we arrived.. The owner Jane is lovely and made us very welcome. The house was much larger than we expected and beautifuly decorated and extremely clean. The beds were so comfortable we had the best nights sleep. the grounds to the property are beautiful, had the weather been better we would have loved to sit outside. It would be great for children. The house is situated in a lovely quiet area but not far fron Lincoln. It was great after a busy day out we could go back to this gorgeous house and chill out. I would highly recommend this house we loved it. Pam

Very peaceful location and a great base to explore Lincoln and other tourist attractions.. The views from the house are very pleasant and we enjoyed watching the birds have a bath right outside the window. Jane was very helpful and accommodating. We all had a wonderful stay.

We stayed here as a family of 8 over the New Year period. What can we say a beautiful, spacious house with everything you could wish for. It was warm, clean and huge x The rooms were comfortable and clean enough seating for everyone. The bedrooms were big and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for the children to play. The staircase was huge and the panaramic balcony Was to die for . Jane provided lots of information about the village and Lincoln..even taxi numbers xx Lovely walk to the village where there are two very nice pubs .Taxi into Lincoln was £7.00 . Can not fault this house ..large dining kitchen equipped with everything.A conservatory which in the summer will be lovely to use . Thanku Jane x

As a family of 8 we visited this house from the 29/12/18 to the 5/1/19 .. What can we say ....it’s a beautiful house .Clean ,spacious and warm . The rooms are large and spacious and provide ample seating and areas to gather in . The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. The huge staircase and panaramic landing is to die for (stairs a little slippy as they are wooden so slippers are needed) . The kitchen ,dining area is brilliant ,talk and drinks while you cook . There isn’t anything negative about this house .Well equipped down to the last detail ...Taxi numbers available and it’s only £7.00 into Lincoln. Lovely walks and small village pubs very nice . Jane is on hand and does not encroach on the guests but is there if needed xx A lovely place to stay Thanku xx

What a find? Home from home! Broadleaf House is a lovely place to share with the family. The house is spacious and so well equipped . We stayed in November and were so warm and cosy. It was lovely to sit in front of the log burner in the lounge. As the accommodation is outside of Lincoln and not really in walking distance to pubs/restaurants it was great to have such a well stocked kitchen to prepare meals. We would highly recommend this house and Jane the owner was so friendly and welcoming. We are certainly planning to return.

The property is beautiful in a very secluded position near woods, ideal for walking.. Lincoln is easily accessed using the park and ride facility at Waitrose near Nettleham. Skellingthorpe is a short drive from the property.

We have just returned from a week holiday at Broadleaf House.. We were greeted on arrival by Jane the owner who showed us around the property, ensured we had her contact details should we need anything, and left us to enjoy our stay. What a wonderful place! The house itself is large and comfy with plenty of space for everyone. It is immaculately clean and very well equipped including plenty of games, books and dvds to keep everyone occupied. The house is in a beautiful location, set on a quiet lane with farmland to the front and rear with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. We would highly recommend, in fact we didn't want to leave!!

The best we have stayed in and we have stayed in many lovely cottages/houses. The House is spacious, light and lovely and clean. The beds and bedding are so comfortable. We were 4 adults and 2 x 15 month toddlers, the house worked really well for us. Do not hesitate to book if you are thinking of visiting this area. Lincoln close and easy to get too. Lovely peaceful location with great walks to hand although we did not get far due to the "beast from the east" and approx 6-8 inches of snow and drifts. Jane the owner is just lovely and unobtrusive. Thank you to Ben for the logs. We will most definitely be back. Thank you

This is a very large property down a country lane which was easy to find due to the owners very good directions.. The furnishings were comfortable and there was adequate seating, the small snug room is particularly nice and we spent our time in the house in there, the larger room with the log burner would be great for a large family but was too big for us. The only downside was the lack of any useable welcome pack, there was tea, coffee and about a teaspoon full of sugar but no milk, therefore if you are waiting for shopping to be delivered it can be a long wait. On the plus side the fire was lit when we arrived and the house was nice and warm.

We loved Broadleaf House and had a great week despite the "Beast from the East".. Jane is lovely and was on hand to solve any problems or answer any questions. Thanks also to Ben for the logs which were very much needed. We will return to this lovely peaceful house and area. Thank you.

Having had 11 cottage (actually large house) holidays in the last 3 years all excellent, Broadleaf House is up with the best. We went to visit Lincoln for a Christmas week and this was far better than any hotel or B&B stay. Lovely to come back on a cold night to an already warm house and start the log burner (plentiful supply of logs) and settle down, have a drink and relax before going to bed. Rooms and amenities are all excellent and as described on the website. Jane who built the house herself is very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her or Ben. We went to the Lincoln Showground to catch the Christmas Park and Ride and also visited a large antiques fair. Although there are 2 pubs in Skellingthorpe, a trip to the Dambuster Inn at Scampton,(near the showground) which is full of character real open fire serving excellent food and drink is worth a visit. Also Doddington Hall is not far away and is also worth a visit. We had a marvellous stay at Broadleaf House and would have liked longer, so it is our intention to go again very soon and would highly recommend staying to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Broadleaf House is an exceptionally spacious, modern holiday home, which would particularly suit a family or group of friends wanting to get together.. There is plenty of space outside for children to play safely and ample parking space for a number of vehicles. The two sitting rooms and conservatory offer great opportunities for family members to spread out. The woodland location provides a peaceful retreat, yet there are shops and pubs nearby. The historic part of Lincoln with its superb cathedral, castle and many attractive shops, cafés and pubs is only a short drive or taxi ride away. Sherwood Forest, Southwell Minster and numerous other attractions are within easy reach. Very highly recommended and great value for money. I have already booked a second visit.

We stayed for a week in Broadleaf House in November, We were greeted by the owners on arrivals and shown were everything was and how it all worked, They were very friendly but not at all intrusive, they just said ANYTHING you need do not hesitate to call, The house itself is a large comfy house in a very quite lane just out of Skellingthorpe, a 5 min walk up the lane and you are into the woods which are lovely, the house is very well thought out - everything you need is there - The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and the beds are the best we have stayed in. The front room (one of 2) has a wood burner in which even for a complete fool like me found it easy to light and it put pout enough heat for the coldest nights, and a large comfy sofa and 2 chairs, the other front room is called "the Snug" but not at all small but very handy if you are stilling with children The kitchen has everything you need (inc a 4 slice toaster you would not believe how many places we stay in where it is only a 2 slice one!!) There is also a dining table in there as well as one in the conservatory just off the main front room Lincoln is a very easy 5/10 min drive away We will def be going back and would recommend it anyone looking for a stay with a small or large party in Lincolnshire

When I write a review for TripAdvisor, I do try to be objective and give the plus and minus points. My problem with writing about this property is, there are no negatives! I think this is probably the best places we have ever been to! Broadleaf house is set in the Old North Wood just outside the village of Skellingthorpe. The location is perfect for the country but, is also handy for the city of Lincoln. We used it as a base to visit some of the great local attractions. This is a beautifully furnished, well equipped spacious property which is incredibly comfortable. We were 5 adults and 1 under 2 year old and there was plenty of space for us all. We all had a great time and the family insisted that we plan a return trip.

Provided us with excellent accommodation for our extended family.. Separate bedrooms and especially separate bathrooms, and three toilets all appreciated. Boys liked the ability to play football etc and he gardens were safe and nice for the toddler grandson. Inside lots of space to play board games etc on wet days or just watch TV or dvd's. It gave us an opportunity to discover Lincoln ( lots of varied places of interest) and places around the area, e.g. Wisby, Doddngton, Newark and even as far as Skegness. Also nice to discover the woodland further along the Old North Wood area. A very full and enjoyable week and nice at the end of each busy day to return to our 'home from home'. Certainly a great place for families in an area not often visited.

A beautiful property in a outstanding surround just 5 mins from main village with local immunities but to look out the Windows at the surrounding countryside you would think your Miles from anywhere, amazing wildlife where if your up early enough you'll see pheasants and rabbits playing in the paddock at the rear, we felt so relaxed throughout the entire of our stay, there's plenty to do in surrounding areas for all age groups with some great places to eat out, lovely friendly owners of the property, We really didn't want to leave could of stopped for the whole summer if able it really was so nice.. A BIG THANK YOU to the owner we will definitely be back

Broadleaf Lodge was a beautiful house and the owner Jane made us feel very welcome.. She greeted us and showed us around the house then left us to get on with enjoying our holiday. We knew if we needed anything we only needed to give Jane a text. The location was ideal being only 4.5 miles from Lincoln, which is well worth a visit. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. It's only a short walk to the village shop and also the woodland walks. Hull is only an hour away where The Deep is well worth a visit. All in all a great house, good location and very friendly owner.

We were greeted on arrival by Jane, the owner, who lives next door and were given a brief tour of the property.. The home was spotless and well furnished, bed linen and towels are 5* hotel standard. There was the welcome addition of a freestanding fridge freezer in the utility room which was a bonus as the only other fridge is under counter in the kitchen (this new fridge freezer was not listed in the Sykes literature). The back garden is compact and overlooks a small industrial area, which can also be seen from the bedroom windows. However noise is minimal and did not detract from our stay. Location is excellent for city centre, local attractions and, of course, Daisy Made ice cream. Jane and her partner were so warm and welcoming, they waved every time they saw us. Jane even managed to get us a fan for the bedroom as it was so hot! Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable week, we will definitely be returning.

Broadleaf house is a fabulous holiday cottage in a great location.. Lovely woodland walks direct from the cottage and also cycling available locally. Wished we had another week as so much to do in the area. Everything was provided by the helpful owner, the cottage was spotless and the beds comfy.

Broadleaf House is an extremely spacious and comfortable holiday cottage. The lounge is massive with a wood burning stove and LED TV. Their is conservatory and second sitting room with LED TV allow people to do their own thing. The balcony off the landing would be great in summer to relax with a coffee or something a bit stronger. The three bedrooms are comfortable and can be set up as doubles or twins. Although very rural this is a good base to explore historic Lincoln. In a nutshell this is quite simply the best cottage we have ever rented.

I have just had a lovely weekend stay at Broadleaf House, in a group of 6 adults so we could attend Lincoln Christmas Market. Arriving early the owner was very welcoming and showed us around the house explaining well how the amenity’s worked, such as the log burning fire in the spacious living room. The house is spotlessly clean with fresh crisp white bedding on all the very comfy beds in the spacious bedrooms, one with on suite. 2 TV’s are available a very large HD TV in the TV room and a large smart TV in the living room again all fully explained to us on arrival., The owner was very helpful with regards to a taxi company and this was £14.70 for 6 adults in to Lincoln, which we thought was great value We have all had a great weekend and would not hesitate to recommend this house for a short break or indeed a longer holiday, our only negative comment would be that the property could do with some nice pictures on the walls and a few bits and pieces around to make it a little more cosy, the house is quite modern in its feel and this would make it a little warmer in feel, please don’t see this as a criticism as it’s a personal preference which our group would like to have seen Overall a great property, very pleasant owner and spotlessly clean, we would defenatly book again should we be visiting Lincoln in a group again. Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Broadleaf House and will definitely recommend it to family and friends. The accommodation is excellent, providing ample space for 4 adults and a toddler to enjoy time both as a family and separately for some well earned rest. The house is located in a rural area yet is near enough to civilisation to ensure you aren't too isolated. It provided an excellent base to explore the local area.

The owner met us at the property and gave us a tour. She was friendly and approachable throughout our stay. The property was perfect for our stay. It was set back from the road on a country lane, quiet. We had a choice of the 2 large bedrooms, with a smaller one for our children. The kids loved the dvd selection and took over the smaller lounge room.
