Black Horse Cottage is a charming, stone end-terrace cottage set in the small village of Giggleswick, within walking distance of Settle on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. With one double and one single bedroom, this cottage sleeps up to three people. There's also a bathroom and an open plan living area consisting of a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. There is roadside parking available in the village and a local pub a few minutes away, whilst popular Settle is just ten minutes' walk away. Set on the cusp of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and within easy reach of the Lake District, Black Horse Cottage is a wonderful base for your next getaway.

This delightful Ribblesdale village lies below a limestone scar (part of the Craven fault) and just across the river from the bustling market town of Settle. It’s an incredibly pretty place with sturdy houses and cottages, many dating back to the 17th century. Giggleswick has two pub s, whilst the wide ranging amenities of the nearby market town of Settle are within easy walking distance.

Every thing in Settle was lovely.. Just wish I had caught the train to Settle instead of giggleswick as was quite a walk with my heavy suitcase. The cottage itself was lovely .Everything there that you needed .

It is advertised that Giggleswick has 2 pubs - yes it does, but the one next to Black Horse Cottage (Black Horse Pub) has been closed for 3 years! and is presently going through a total refurbishment. Fortunately, this did not affect the enjoyment of our holiday as we were out hiking each day. I feel this should have been mentioned on the website.

The cottage was lovely and comfortable with good quality cutlery and crockery.. The knives were actually sharp too! The bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch. The cottage is in a great location, a short walk from Settle. We had a lovely time.

Loved the proximity to public transport only a 15 minute walk into the centre of Settle, was made to feel welcome by the owner, cottage had everything we needed and more, the best equipped kitchen we've ever had in a holiday cottage.. Lots to do in the area, so much that we want to come back to do the things we ran out of time for.

Disappointed to hear that there was no washing machine 48hrs prior to arrival.. Also stated that there was a dvd player and a radio /cd neither were in the cottage. Nearest laundrette is in settle and the public can only use during certain hours. Pleasant scenery, good places to eat nearby. Recommend Matteos in the market place and Shambles for fish and chips

Rather too many nic-nacs in a tiny cottage made putting down anything.. ..maps, books etc....rather difficult. But the kitchen area was superbly stocked. Generally, a very comfortable stay.

Superb cosy cottage, home from home.. Everything you need. Most relaxing village and cottage we have ever stayed at. Could only hear the toned down church bells and the sound of chirping birds. Pub next door has been closed down for a while so don’t know how it would affect the noise. Pub up the road called Harts Head has a lovely relaxing beer garden, it’s a sun trap, overlooking Giggleswick School and it’s chapel Dome. Been on all the fells and hills lovely views. Walked over to Malham and back. Caught train from Settle to Appleby lovely scenic journey about 50 minutes, across the viaduct as well. About 10 minutes walk to a busier Settle. Nice to come back to the cosy relaxing cottage after a full day out. Going home refreshed, relaxed and felt so close to nature there. Thank you Ann so much for your hospitality. Julie & Steve

The cottage was excellent everything catered for any visit.. Giggleswick is only a stones throw from Settle which is a gorgeous place there are plenty of walks around the area you have to check out Ingleton falls Amazing will deffo come back again

Lovely cottage: great location close to Settle.. Great facilities. Only issue was that water pressure in the shower was far too low and temperature gage difficult to control.

The cottage is cosy, comfortable, and well presented.. The location is very convenient: although in a quiet village the cottage is within easy pedestrian access (via a footbridge) to the market town of Settle.

The only issue was that the curtains were very thin and light coloured and so did not really stop the light getting into the bedrooms and so we were woken quite early by the light..

Black horse cottage is really The Three Bears Cottage from those old storey books.. Anne & Tony have certainly made it a cosey spot with everything and more for extended stays. After a day out exploring the beautiful countryside back for a hot shower then from front door six steps to the pub

Lovey clean cottage. Duvet was too hot for us Aussies! Great Location, welcoming church next door and The Black horse next door serves great food and very reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere around Giggleswick.

A delightful cottage in a perfect village setting.. I used it as a base for hill walking and it was absolutely ideal. The village had two great friendly pubs, both serving delicious food. I'll be back!

Booked this cottage as a base for a weeks walking holiday.it couldn't of been in a better spot.easy access to all the popular walks,malham,three peaks etc.spotlessly clean,well equipped kitchen,decent shower and comfy beds.what more do you need?oh and only seven paces to the pub front door.fantastic will definitely be back
