Well situated place to stay.. Struggled to find any walks from site. Disappointed not to have a freezer box in fridge as we packed up for lunch most days .No place to store food and drink.Very quiet and peaceful.Would stay here again.

Had an absolutely fantastic holiday.. The accommodation was perfect for our first holiday with our new puppy. I would highly recommend the cottage for anyone looking for an idyllic peaceful location within easy walking distance of Hawsker, and the dog friendly village pub, The Hare and Hounds. The walk to Whitby on the cinder trail, in the morning sunshine, has left us with very fond memories of this stunning location.

The cottage was excellent, much larger than expected and very comfortable.. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and lovely and warm which was very much appreciated on a November holiday. The cottage was also very well equipped and the bed was very comfy. The location was excellent, very quiet but within easy reach of Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby.

An excellent, well-equipped and surprisingly spacious cottage at the back of a camp site and farm.. Convenient for exploring the North Yorks coast. Beware the walk down to Robin Hood's Bay, it's absolutely fine on the way down, but a heck of a pull back up the hill.
Mr Kermode, August 2019

Our cottage was really nice the only thing i didnt like was next door lounge with tv was on our bedroom which i found very noisy they were up at 6.. 30 -6.45 on a morning with the tv on very loud we never had a lie in which you are supposed to have when your on holiday we came home a day early

Splendid holiday as usual in this location.. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful.Small problem with people in the next door cottage in the mornings at about 7 am was quite noisy and probably because of the plan of the buildings the noise was filtering through from their lounge to our bedroom.Other than this the holiday was fabulous and we will return.

The cottage suited my husband's lack of mobility perfectly. No steps/stairs, a walk in shower, high bed lounge furniture that he could get in out of with ease. Parking was just a few paces away. The cottage has high ceilings which created light space was enhanced by the morning sun (when we got it). But in the evenings the cottage was lovely cosy warm (we were there in October). Overall an excellent property.

Excellent welcome on arrival, very spacious & clean. Both cottage & surrounding area absolutely first class. Will defiantly recommend to friends & family. Really good heating system & plenty of hot water. The thing we liked best was the lovely bathroom facilities. The thing we liked least was the TV was too small for the room although it worked well & had plenty of channels.

Barn Cottage was just as described on your web site. It was very clean and comfortable. The arrangements for the key were easy and instructions how to get there were easy to follow. The location was excellent - only a few miles from all attractions eg Whitby Museum. All in all Barn Cottage was an enjoyable place to stay in beautiful country side. My only slight grumble was that there was no soap to wash hands/shower and very little toilet paper.
