There is also two en-suite WCs, a family shower room, a kitchen, a living/dining room. Outside there is road-side parking as well as a car park, while the front garden is a patio with furniture and the rear has decking, furniture and a private hot tub. Baggergate House is a luxury retreat in the heart of York city.

The city of York is filled with endless opportunities for tourists to explore and learn about its history; the Minster, its medieval walls, boat trips on the River Ouse, York Races, museums (including the famous National Railway Museum and the Castle Museum) and the internationally-renowned Jorvik Viking Centre, with its "time trip" experience. Explore York’s quaint streets and hidden corners, or take an excursion further afield to the Dales, Moors or the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. Yorkshire is rich in stately homes, with Harewood House and Castle Howard just two of several within an hour’s drive. A cycling city boasting two theatres, character pubs and great shopping, York has it all.

Fabulously maintained property close to city centre with lovely touches to make our stay extra special. The provision of lovely fluffy robes and slippers was particularly well received along with the well stocked welcome hamper. Would definitely recommend stopping here as we have had such a relaxing enjoyable stay.

Just back from a week at this lovely house. We were totally blown away by the care and thought that has gone in to making this house the perfect holiday rental with all the comforts of home. From towelling robes and slippers to an excellent welcome pack of goodies, from hot tub towels to a bumper size selection of toiletries, and all stops in between. The reason I put "practically "perfect? The only drawback is the low ceiling height in the top floor bedroom which means popping downstairs to get dressed in the mornings! Not a problem but tall people beware! The location is also great - a stroll from all the major attractions - even our party of less-than-super-fit-older ladies managed to walk everywhere with the exception of the last day when we took a taxi to transport ourselves and heavy cases back to the train station. Congratulations and thanks to Heidi and Trish! When we return to York we'll be hoping to find availability at Baggergate House!

Wow wow wow don’t worry about packing as this place has it all - fully equipped - beautiful, characterful property with beautifully appointed accommodation and gorgeous hot tub! Proximity to York is fantastic its close to all the shops on bishy road! Rowntree park is just around the corner . It’s such a brilliant place in a cracking area! Would recommend the Italian coffee shop and flori bakery! And we had a fantastic meal at delrios . This place is so wonderful we’ve booked to come back for next new year! The cleanliness is second to none! Would definitely recommend:)
