Booking the cottage was easy and information about the cottage was detailed, accurate and exceeded our expectations.. The comprehensive information sent by the owner about the cottage, recommendations where to visit, eat, walks etc was excellent. This all added up to a very enjoyable, happy, memorable holiday. Thank you x

Had a great time.. We couldn't have wanted for anything! Plenty of towels, coffee cups and biscuits were ready and waiting on the table!! Good weather which made the weekend. The only down side if i was to moan would be lack of back garden space. Alina was great! very flexible with check in Check out times which made things easier for our party. Would recommend to anyone very beautiful scenery.

We went to celebrate my husbands 70th Birthday.. There we 10 of us and we all loved the cottage. The scenery was wonderful and Kilnsey was a great place for a base to go touring.

Great cottage with everything we could possibly need.. Parking was tight but we understand. Also, it would be good if there was a speed limit through the village, especially since the door opens on to the main road. All things out of the owners control but worth mentioning. All in all, a fantastic experience. Thank you.

Booked Angles Cottage for a weekend for 7 adult family members to visit Grassington Dickensian Festival Skipton Christmas Market and this was a great location.. There’s comfortable parking for a couple of cars around the house and we found the the Tennant’s Arms twenty or so yards down the road didn’t complain about the odd car being left there. The cottage itself was charming and well equipped with almost everything you could want for a comfortable stay. All the bedrooms were comfortable clean and spacious. The very comfortable lounge with it’s log burning stove was a great gathering place. The kitchen is fully equipped with most requirements including a decent coffee machine, the only criticism of the kitchen could be the size of the cooker, if you where cooking a meal for ten it would be a push. The rest of the downstairs consists of a decent sized dining room and the aforementioned lounge and a number of service rooms including a drying room with the boiler, a wash room that houses two extra fridges as well as the laundry items. Also on the ground floor you have a toilet. On the 1st floor you have the five bedrooms, one bathroom with a rolled top bath, equipped with a very poor shower, and toilet. A second bathroom with a much more reasonable over bath shower is at the far end of the corridor along with a separate toilet. All in all a great hideaway in a lovely part of the country. However I must make a note of number faults that truthfully would not cost a fortune to correct and would further improve the experience of the stay. Strangely most of the bedrooms have no locks on the doors with several of them having no catches at all and the bathroom and toilet doors have hook and eye catches in stead of bolts or locks, quite strange and leads to most of the doors being left slightly ajar when occupied. For a house that can accommodate ten guests you only have one effective shower as the one over the roll topped bath is only just adequate to rinse your hair but definitely not for showering. Also the WiFi is just about usable but crashes if several people try using it together. Is this a place I’d visit again, definitely, but several points do been addressing if prices are to be justified.

Lovely cottage lots of nooks and crannies. Had a great family gathering. Nice and clean. Only criticism is oven a bit on the small side when cooking for 10 people and a table protector for the dining room table would help. Would recommend and definitely visit again.
November 2018
Lovely cottage very quirky.. No problem with space for 10 of us. Great wood burning fire. Lots of fridge space for food and drink. Two extra fridges in utility room. An extra light in dining room would help as is quite dark and a table protector just not quite enough trivets and mats when all 10 of us round the table. The oven could also be larger it was a bit of a juggle cooking the food for us all. We all had a great family get together the children had a ball. Would definitely visit again.

We had a lovely family birthday weekend celebration here in a beautiful location, great base for exploring the area.. The cottage is cosy, very comfortable and full of character. Also very well equipped and plenty of wardrobe space. Although it is situated on a busy main road we did not hear the traffic at night. Parking at the front is a bit tight for two cars but it was fine to use the pub car park next door also. The caretaker was very helpful and we had everything we needed for a great memorable weekend.

We had a lovely short break at Anglers Cottage, Kilnsey.. The person I spoke to when we booked the house was friendly and helpful. The pre arrival information sent by the owner was really useful and the caretaker was friendly and came over straight away to help us work out the heating. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped with plenty of room for all of us to spread out (7 + a baby). The house is fun and quirky with wooden beams a double staircase and plenty of nooks and crannies. I loved the large dining room in addition to the large kitchen. A perfect place for a birthday get together, there’s even a piano ( albeit out of tune which added to the atmosphere). There are some lovely walks virtually on the doorstep and Malham and Skipton were easy to reach by car for supplies and further sightseeing. The only things to consider if you have small children or dogs are the very busy road right outside the front door, the tight parking spaces (although parking at the pub next door was not a problem) and the tiny outdoor space. However we were aware of these issues when we booked and all the good points outweighed these issues for us.

We visited for a friends wedding, the cottage was perfect for our group.. It literally had everything we would ever need and more! Plenty of fridges - perfect for our beers in the glorious Yorkshire sunshine. Plenty of room for 10 adult guests.

Sleeps ten but could do with more seats in the lounge .. Only one shower cubicle for the whole cottage meant queues in the morning .Felt very homely , was well equipped.

The only comment is the the cottage is very near to the main road which is very busy and I feel this should be mentioned in the property spec for families with children..

September 2016
Our week stay in Anglers cottage was great from the off. We were a family of ten for 4 nights. The five bedrooms are all different, very good sizes, comfortable and had, in the main, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space, with hairdryers in each room. It is a very spacious quirky cottage (it used to be a public house) and the size was great for all of us. Plenty of fridge space to take supplies as there are extra ones in the utility room. Ten of us sat comfortably for an evening meal at the dining table. The modern kitchen and sitting room were also very comfortable. Plenty of crockery/cutlery/glasses. There are 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms. The house was clean and warm with a welcome feeling on arrival. A wood burning stove is available for winter nights, with an honesty box if wood is used. It has fabulous views to the front, but it is on a busy main road, which didn't bother us when we were in bed, and we were out during the day visiting all the fabulous Dales beauty spots. Plenty of walks to go on. Fishing and a short walk is just along the road at Kilnsey Fish Farm, worth a visit! Having a pub next door was a bonus for us (no designated driver needed). The Tennants Arms is great and serves good food too, it has an lovely outdoor garden, which is the only thing missing from the cottage and there is very little space at the rear to achieve one. I wouldn't miss that in winter but in summer months, I am not so sure. It was a lovely week spent with family and I would thoroughly recommend it.

The cottage was lovely, really clean, lots of room and one of the best equipt cottages we have stayed in.. The views are lovely! We would definitely come back and stay again.

Positives-Comfortable and cosy large house.. Family members enjoyed the stay. Great assistance from caretaker Alina. Drawbacks - lack of garden for the large number of people who could have stayed. On a very busy roadside for children or pets.
Mrs Harte, September 2016
September 2016
Anglers Cottage is very spacious.. I could not imagine wanting anything else in a kitchen. The bedrooms were all decent sizes and most had wash hand basins. 8 of us stayed at the property and the 2 bathrooms and 3 separate toilets were adequate. The location is excellent with a 10 minute drive to Grassington and a 15 minute drive to Skipton. The pub next door, The Tennants Arms does excellent food, so not far to go if you want a meal or a drink. A great location for families and groups of friends. The lady who maintains the property is close by if you needed any help or if anything was wrong. We can not fault this accommodation or its location.

Just that there really is no back garden - we loved the cottage, facilities and gorgeous countryside, but would have liked to let the family dog have a little space.. A thoroughly enjoyed holiday, Alina was great and really helpful. Will have to return to explore more.

The Cottage was very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. There was an impressive standard of cleanliness. Our weekend went too fast, no one was in a rush to leave. Having such a lovely pub yards away was very convenient.
