Valley View Lodge is a detached wooden lodge next to a working livestock and arable farm near Welshpool. The lodge sleeps four people in two bedrooms, a king-size double (zip/link, can be a twin on request) with an en-suite and a double room. There is also a bathroom, and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with a woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and a decked terrace with furniture and a BBQ. Valley View Lodge is a comfortable and spacious holiday home in a fantastic setting.

All ground floor. Two bedrooms with TV: 1 x king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request) with en-suite shower, basin and WC, 1 x double. Bathroom with bath, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.

Welshpool nestles into the upper reaches of the picturesque Severn Valley near the border between Wales and England. This bustling market town is surrounded by rolling hills and glorious unspoilt countryside. There are a unique blend of shops offering arts & crafts, fashion & leisure, fresh produce, and quality pubs and restaurants, as well as the town centre’s restored cock fighting pit and interesting Heritage Trail.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove included inc. in rent, additional logs can be purchased from owner. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lawned area with furniture. Decked terrace with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 5 miles, pub 2.5 miles. Note: Tesco home deliveries can be made to the lodge. Please note: there is a minimum stay of 3 nights at the property.

It was beautifully located and was serene and peaceful.. We needed a break and it certainly proved to be that. The owners were fantastic and genuinely lovely too. Had everything we could possibly want and it has this lovely feel about the place too. A home away from home. We’ll definitely be back again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Valley View Lodge meeting up with family.. The lodge is lovely & clean and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The views are fabulous & the log burner in the evening made it extra cosy. We would love to come back in the summer. The owner Mr Morris is very helpful. Thank you!

When we reached the lodge it looked absolutely beautiful! My kids loved that there was live stock next to the lodge. Mr Morris is so lovely and a bottle of Prosecco was left for us to enjoy as we had booked for Valentine’s Day. Such a lovely and welcoming gesture, we enjoyed the Prosecco! There was so much space all round my kids loved the space and gave the room to run around. It felt very safe. The views were totally amazing especially when the sun shined. If you need to de stress this would definitely be the place for you. The property itself was comfortable and cozy with a wood burner. It was clean neat and tidy. Everything you needed to use was in the cupboards. We loved it, my kids loved and what’s more the owner was lovely which made it a great experience. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

The cottage was absolutely brilliant.. The wood burning stove was very romantic. The cottage is located amongst farmers fields, the views were fantastic over the hills and valleys. I have been to many places in Wales,Valley View is the best place in Wales i have been the views are spectacular its clean and well equiped and Mr Morris is so helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough truly magical. Our family are having a brilliant time

Lovely, comfortable, clean, well equipped lodge, we did not have an issue with the cat as we ignored it and it stopped coming back.. However this might he an issue in the warmer weather if you want to leave windows open. Water pressure on the ensuite shower was minimal but not a massive issue, it just took a little longer to shower.

We stay in cottages every year in various locations and have done so for many years and l must say this stay was right up there. Beautiful surroundings, comfy beds, great facilities, everything we needed was there. Totally secluded. Wi-Fi is great, streamed the footy and cricket no problems at all. Hosts are very nice people and so many places to visit. We really cannot fault this cottage and location. Great fun! If only someone could turn the sun on from time to time. A very memorable holiday one which l will remember dearly. I hope everyone that stays here will enjoy it as much as we did.

Terrible traffic. JOKE!! Only sounds are the sheep in the adjacent field and occasional goat noises in the next door farm. The lodge is very good, and by car there are plenty of things to see. Powis Castle and the narrow gauge railway at Welshpool are well worth visiting. As other visitors have said in the visitor book we were befriended by a local cat who brought a baby rabbit in exchange for milk.

We had the most enjoyable Christmas holiday, thanks to lovely comfortable accommodation with spectacular views, and welcoming yet unobtrusive hosts.. Perfect! (If it's a get-away-from-it-all, peace-and-quiet holiday you're after, look no further!)

The positives are the location which is very quiet but not too remote, the facilities provided in the lodge are very good only a couple of niggles which did not detract from our stay but one of them, the wobbly dining chair needs attention. The WiFi also is not the best so if you need decent WiFi connection this could be a problem.There are however lots of things to do and places to visit within a hour or so of the lodge if you don't mind driving. Aberystwyth, Lake Vrynwy, Ludlow, Ironbridge, Powis Castle to name a few. The only real negative from our perspective is the windows looked as if they had not been cleaned inside or outside for months and this detracted from the views out across the valley and we did not feel the lodge was as clean as it could have been. It was not dirty but you just come to notice these sorts of things but I guess if it is occupied on a back to back basis then a deep clean between lettings may be difficult. All that said we would recommend it for a short break.

Enjoyed a quiet relaxing week in this lovely comfortable lodge in beautiful countryside.. Perfect for getting away from it all and with bags of home comforts! Hosts were extremely friendly and lived nearby but left us alone to enjoy our holiday. Would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for peace and quiet. Plenty of space, no neighbours apart from the fields of sheep, watch out for the pheasants loose on the mountain lanes!

We were lucky to be amongst the first to stay in this wonderful lodge which is immaculately presented and well equipped. The owner was really helpful and welcoming without being intrusive. Such a peaceful location with stunning views, we had a great time and so did our toddler. Welshpool is a short drive away, the steam train was a fun afternoon out.
