Area Drummore is not only the largest and most southerly of all the Rhins settlements, but it is also the most southerly village in Scotland. This tranquil and beautiful fishing community, which has a Post Office, a charming port, and three local pubs, benefits from the Gulf Stream's warmth and receives less rainfall than the rest of Western Scotland, while the wind exhilarates walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike throughout the winter months. The surrounding landscape is wild and spectacular, with views across Luce Bay to the Machars of Galloway, as well as views across the peninsula of Ireland's Antrim Hill, the Mountains of Mourne, the Cumbrian coast, and the ridge of Mona's Isle on the Isle of Man, which are all visible on a clear day.
