Beautiful, historical apartment house "Sotoportego Venier", 3 storeys, from the 14th century. In the centre of Venezia, in the district Castello, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, in the heart of the city, directly by the canal. Heating available only from 15.10. to 15.04.. Grocery, supermarket, restaurant 200 m, bar 100 m, railway station "Santa Lucia" 3 km, ferry "Vaporetto stop Arsenale" 400 m. Nearby attractions: Arsenale 200 m, La Biennale di Venezia 450 m, Piazza San Marco 1 km, Ponte di Rialto 1.4 km, Teatro La Fenice 1.5 km.

This is a very nice appartment in an excellent location. Not too big but clean and very well organised. We also appreciated very much the warm and friendly welcome by the lady during the handover of the keys. The appartment is highly recommendable. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Exceptionally well maintained holiday home in a good yet quiet location. We stayed for a week with 2 children and really enjoyed it. The apartment is just as beautiful as shown in the pictures. Many thanks also to the nice key holder!

In addition to a shared living room/dining area and a small kitchen, the living space has 2 areas each with a bedroom and associated shower/toilet area. We found this to be very pleasant. The location of the apartment to discover Venice is great and in the evening it is a quiet corner. There are many shops in this corner. Handing over the keys (one for each couple) was uncomplicated - Italian language skills are of course very helpful

Nice apartment, well equipped, with however a negative point which is the lack of light: whatever the time, it is essential to turn on the lights to see something there, unless you appreciate the darkness. That said, the purpose of our stay in Venice was not to stay locked up all day, so it was not very serious, especially since the location is top: Arsenale/Castello district, away from the tourist bustle while being a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco on one side and Via Garibaldi on the other, a quiet street well stocked with local shops, bars and restaurants with good value for money.
