Villa Caggio

This late 19th-early 20th-century building was once the home of a well-known psychiatrist from the Volterra area. It's a huge building, typical of the Tuscan countryside, nestled in the beautiful countryside and not far from the town center. The building has four apartments. We stayed on the first floor, two of us with a dog. The apartment was a perfect size, in excellent condition, and exceptionally clean; I've never even found a 5-star hotel so clean. A comfortable Tuscan-style house, everything is as described and exactly as seen in the photos. The well-maintained building sits on a hill, secluded from others, so it's perfectly quiet. In mid-September, there were few guests, apart from us, two couples from Germany. The pool area features comfortable loungers and umbrellas, clear water, and a stunning view of the valley. The very friendly hostess lives on site. We recommend this place as an excellent base for car trips around Tuscany.

The decor and furniture were a positive surprise, in good condition and nothing to complain about in terms of cleaning. Good service from the landlord, who was very welcoming and friendly.

We spent almost two weeks at Villa Ciggio. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and communication was easy thanks to Google. The apartment was clean and well-maintained. There are outdoor seating areas and a lovely pool with plenty of greenery around it. It was lovely, and we had a great time relaxing. Tip: With temperatures over 35°C during the day, the apartment was very warm at night. You might want to consider air conditioning.

Beautifully located apartment for two people outside Volterra. Volterra can be reached within minutes. The landlady has good tips for free parking in Volterra - the town is very nice to explore on foot. Other towns in Tuscany and the sea can be reached within an hour due to the central location. The pool is good for cooling off.

The accommodation is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the landscape. It is very clean, has very good beds and a well-kept pool. The landlady is very friendly, even if communication was almost exclusively possible thanks to the Deepl translation program. The beautiful town of Volterra can be reached by car within 10 minutes. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful part of the world.

This holiday home is well furnished and fully equipped. It was very clean, even though we arrived a day earlier than the landlord had expected.

What we enjoyed here last summer, what hospitality and wonderful surroundings. nothing was missing for us and the wonderful stay and nice reception made our trip (with car breakdown) a lot better!

A great stay with Simona and her little family who welcomed us with great kindness and made us progress in our learning of this beautiful language that is Italian!
