Looking for a Florence bolthole that's as unique as it is central? This Santa Croce district apartment, set in a fresco-adorned palazzo and within walking distance of all the must-see sights, is spot-on. With ceilings soaring nearly six metres high in the open-plan living and bedroom space, and a mezzanine level providing access to an additional single bedroom and bathroom, the layout is a tad quirky. But we think this only adds to the charm. It’s worth noting that the kitchen is on the small side and better suited to lighter meals and breakfast.
