Lucky Cottage is a charming stone-built terraced cottage situated in the hamlet of Foxt, in the Churnet Valley in the Staffordshire moorlands and can sleep four people. The cottage has a king-size double bedroom, a double bedroom, a bathroom, a ground floor basin and WC, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with a woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for two cars and an enclosed, lawned garden with patio and furniture. Lucky Cottage is a wonderful base for exploring the Staffordshire area.

Area
Foxt is a scattered hamlet that is situated in the beautiful Staffordshire moorlands, set in the Churnet Valley and on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Foxt benefits from an excellent village pub which serves good food and a variety of real ales. This hamlet is a wonderful base for those wanting to discover the picturesque area of the Peak District.

Enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Sorry, no pets, no smoking and no children. Shop 2 miles, pub 7 mins walk. Note: This property accepts adults only does not accept anyone under the age of 18. Note: This property may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. Note: This property will not accommodate worker bookings for Alton Towers.

Just the parking issues.. Almost holding your breath to reverse back and to come in and out the property. Lovely neighbours, we unfortunately scratched one of the neighbours car and this was very slowly reversing back to the lane. They've agreed for us to mend it and we offered a bottle of wine to say thank.you. Otherwise, very nice and comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Lucky Cottage, it is a rural location in Foxt which has a lovely pub but there is plenty to do in driving distance for the week. Furnished to a very high standard I recommend Lucky Cottage for a treat get away.

This was our third visit to Lucky cottage.. When you step inside this lovely cottage, you feel instantly relaxed and comfortable. We had a lot of rain the week we were there and it was a warm and cosy haven to return to. Beautifully decorated, gorgeously comfortable beds and lots of lovely touches, including freshly made scones on arrival!

Needed a quiet bolt-hole for a few days away. This place looked good on the website, but the pictures do not do it justice. The cottage is finished to the highest standards with some excellent, quirky items mixed with high end kitchen and technology items. After staying in a few cottages over the years, this is without doubt one of the best. Comfortable surroundings and furnishings coupled with a great location make for a relaxing few days away. The shepherd hut at the end of the garden makes a great place to sit a have a glass or two of something nice.

After traveling 7 hours in a small suv on arrival I was disappointed in the .... After traveling 7 hours in a small suv on arrival I was disappointed in the access to cottage via a steep hill and narrow access to parking with very restrictive turning the cottage was well equipped but lacked basic necessities as it would have been nice to have a pint of milk in the fridge to go with the selections of teas and coffee also we had no hot water messaged and rang the owner several times but she did not reply till the following morning after having to go next door to her mothers where she was staying we had planned to attend events on most days during the week the first morning we were going to Ashbourne show so we were delayed The rest of the holiday was great

Lovely cottage, well looked after and maintained, very nice scones left for arrival, milk in the fridge, flowers on the table.. A peaceful and restful location. Holiday cottage amount regular residents, could not get the car near to the property and a very steep hill to the top road. Otherwise excellent. Would return.

We have had an unforgettable stay at Lucky Cottage and would have liked to stay longer.. Great place, very good bed, towels and bed linens, love interior and what a fabulous kitchen with everything we needed. Will definitely come again! We felt more than welcome with the fresh flowers and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam on arrival. Pity that the weather was too bad to enjoy the lovely garden...

Truly wonderful cottage.. Enjoyed our Christmas break. Cottage is lovely and warm with lots of touches of luxury...beautifully decorated, White Company bedding - bliss, vintage crockery, range cooker and log burner. The owner even made sure there was a suitable roasting tin and foil for the turkey. The only negative is the parking which is tricky - but we managed fine in an SUV.

What a fabulous weekend we had at "Lucky Cottage"! . Four friends meeting up for some chill out time together. Beautiful location. Plenty of walks locally and short drive away. High standard of accommodation with a very homely, comforting feeling to it. Please note parking was a bit tricky but did not spoil our experience. We were lucky indeed to spend time there.

Came here on holiday for a week with my husband and daughter, Beautifully decorated throughout with attention to detail. Everything was of a very high standard, all furnishings are very thoughtfully placed. The patio is lovely but the garden does need attention but it was only March when I was here. The parking is very tight so if you have a larger vehicle then it would be awkward to say the least not a problem for us though. We really enjoyed our stay, very quiet and peaceful. The views from the back of the property are outstanding looking out uninterrupted into the valley, The kitchen and bathroom are particularly lovely, and the bedrooms especially luxurious. Great retro design throughout. Lovely break, no problems what so ever. Would definitely stay again.

We loved every part of the cottage! So spacious yet so cosy, and nicely decorated throughout! The kitchen was well equipped and a really good size as most kitchens are quite small in other places. The living area was nicely decorated and had a blu-ray player! The bedrooms were beautiful! The beds were so comfortable and the views (and horses) were a wonderful sight to open the curtains to in the morning! A wonderful place to stay and definitely would love to stay again!

We have stayed at many of your cottages, and whilst all of them have been very good, Lucky Cottage surpassed them all. Exceptional, excellent quality throughout, the beds were a dream. Such a great deal of thought had gone into making the cottage a perfect holiday home, none of us wanted to leave! On top of that we had lovely weather and managed 3 sunny but rather muddy walks.

A lovely cottage in a great location and very peaceful. The description of off road parking is slightly misleading as it is a lane shared by all the other properties leaving little room for turning. Despite a problem with the fridge/freezer the owners mother was quick to help.

Lovely cottage and great location. Great view from rear terrace. Must mention the nearby Fox Goose, 5 minutes walk up the hill towards the village hall and lovely St Mark`s church to quench a thirst with real ale and superb food, served all day.
