Area Blagdon is a friendly village and civil parish in the northern part of the Mendip Hills AONB. Boasting no less than 17 listed buildings as well as a 15th century church, it holds much interest. In terms of amenities, it offers two pubs, two convenience stores and a café. To the northeast of the village there is the Blagdon Lake where you can fish, also nearby are the Organic Gardens and a Yeo Valley dairy with a café. The Mendip Hills abounds in scenic walking and cycling country to make the most of. In the surrounding area there is certainly something to suit every taste including a traditional day at the seaside with Weston-super-Mare just 12 miles away, the striking cities of Bristol and Bath are also close by and are more than worth a look around as they display magnificent architecture as well as a vast array of first-class amenities and activities to keep you occupied during your visit.
