Often referred to as England's finest Tudor town, Shrewsbury is set in a giant loop of the River Severn. Famous for its timber-framed black and white buildings The city's castle is a sandstone building, set in beautiful gardens and grounds, whilst Quarry Park is home to the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show. Visitors can enjoy the National Trust's stately Attingham Park; an elegant 18th Century mansion or Wroxeter Roman City, both of which are within easy driving distance.

We have just returned after a weeks holiday in Highbury Cottage Shrewsbury.. When we arrived at the cottage we received a very warm welcome from Jeff the owner. "Highbury cottage" is absolutely lovely, warm and cosy very well equipped with everything you need and immaculate. Jeff had provided a "Welcome pack" which was very much appreciated. A real home from home. A lovely small private garden, for long summer evenings. It is so quiet, a short drive to the local pubs, many places of interest and Shrewsbury itself. It was our first visit to Shropshire and certainly won't be our last. We would not hesitate to stay at "Highbury cottage" on our return. Jeff was most helpful and gave us lots of information on places to visit.

Highbury Cottage was an absolute dream of a place to stay for two adults.. The proiperty was exceptionally clean and Jeff the owner, so very polite and obliging. I come to Shrewsbury every now and then to see family and as a result of our stay, I will in future stay at highbury Cottage. All in all 10 out of 10.
