Often referred to as England's finest Tudor town, Shrewsbury is set in a giant loop of the River Severn. Famous for its timber-framed black and white buildings The city's castle is a sandstone building, set in beautiful gardens and grounds, whilst Quarry Park is home to the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show. Visitors can enjoy the National Trust's stately Attingham Park; an elegant 18th Century mansion or Wroxeter Roman City, both of which are within easy driving distance.
