We've just come to the end of a perfect week and don't want to leave. Every attention to detail has been considered. Mark and Adrian were welcoming and showed us around their beautiful hotel which adjoins the cottage. The gardens are beautiful. Perfect for a couple who want peace and quiet in idyllic surroundings.

Housekeeper's cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.. The cottage is part of Meeson Hall and is set in glorious surroundings. It is so peaceful and quiet. The cottage has a wonderful courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee and you are also free to explore the extensive garden with its magical trees. The owners, Adrian and Mark are very welcoming and they kindly gave us a tour of their beautiful home and told us some of its history. The cottage has a lovely homely feel and has a very comfortable bed. We can't recommend Housekeeper's cottage enough, a peach of a place!

The cottage really is superb.. In a beautiful quiet, rural location - but only a few miles back to the A road. Great for exploring Ironbridge, the Wrekin (definitely walk to the top - it's hard-going but well worth it), and all over Shropshire. Took our bikes and the quiet country lanes round about were delightful for exploring. House exceptionally clean and tidy and kitchen was really well equipped - modern cooker, dishwasher, fridge. Lovely welcome pack of eggs, delicious crusty bread and some jam. The courtyard is full of flowers in pots and very charming. Also nice to chat to other people staying in the other cottage if you want to - if not, there is a private area round the side and a large garden at the back. The grounds are very impressive. Host was extremely friendly and gave great advice on where to go. Recommend the Lion at Waters Upton for a curry - we walked but it is a couple of miles each way. No bathtub, which is literally the only non-positive thing I can think to say. Would recommend to anyone. Lovely part of the world, and a great place to stay in style to explore it.

Housekeepers Cottage is in a beautifully peaceful location in the grounds of the Meeson Hall, itself an architectural gem.. The cottage has many period features, and a real fire which we lit to make it lovely warm and cozy. It was well equipped and we’d certainly recommend the cottage to stay. It was well situated for exploring the local area, Ironbridge in particular, soaking up the history and feasting your eyes on the fabulous architecture in places such as Much Wenlock and Shrewsbury.

We most enjoyed the rural location.. We wanted a quite relaxing break and we absolutely got that. There are many places to visit within easy access for anyone who wants to be on the go. The welcome was warm, efficient and very friendly, that and all the 'little extras' made us feel that we were wanted as visitors. We plan to return. Sue and Malc

Mark and Adrian were the consummate hosts.. The property was beyond great with it's position right in the walled garden of the beautiful Meeson Hall. We have been to many nice country houses, with walled gardens, and never thought we would actually ever get to live in one, if only for a week. Thanks Guys.
Mr Shillam, September 2019

Owners most welcoming with fresh bread, eggs, butter, milk and home-made jam waiting for us in the kitchen.. Cottage lovely and comfortable. Well-equipped. It was a joy to sit out in the walled-garden at the rear of the cottage. So peaceful and pretty. Meeson Hall and grounds a pleasure to return to after a day's sightseeing. Highly recommended. Plenty to see and do within a short drive. We loved Attingham Park and Wightwick Manor, Stokesay Castle and all the interesting abbey ruins dotted around the area. We were never short of wonderful places to visit.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable break staying at the Housekeeper’s Cottage.. One of the owners, Mark was there to welcome us. There was milk, eggs, butter etc left for us- very thoughtful as there’re no shops nearby. Meeson Hall is an impressive place, beautifully restored and we’d a tour of the rooms. Conveniently located for trips to Ironbridge, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Wrekin and many others. Would love to return. Mr & Mrs Walsh

Had a great week at the housekeeper house .. .grounds were nice to walk round house was lovely and spacious.,,my only bugbear was the bedroom there wasn’t any sockets close enough to the dressing table to dry/style hair had to dry hair in the hallway near where we ate which wasn’t practical..

Sykes - booking app is a useful enhancement.. Housekeeper's Cottage- utterly charming. Good as the photographs are they don't do it justice. The property (as well as the hosts) is delightful and welcomes you.. We often book properties with more bedrooms to gain a more generous living space but that wasn't necessary this time. Lovely.

We were looking for a cottage in Shropshire in a rural location with plenty of outside space but located within easy reach of all the places we wanted to visit.. Housekeepers Cottage "delivered in spades". A clean, extremely comfortable cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Set within wonderful gardens and grounds and a truly magnificent courtyard - all of which you are encouraged to enjoy by the very warm and welcoming hosts. An absolute gem! We would highly recommend a stay at Housekeepers cottage.

What a simply lovely cottage.. It is set in the grounds of a wonderful estate (Meeson Hall) in Shropshire, so when you leave the cottage you can wonder around the grounds. The Housekeeper's Cottage itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The village is lovely and has the best butcher I have ever been to!! Mark and Adrian who run Meeson Hall are extremely welcoming. When we arrived we were met and shown around the cottage. There were fresh eggs, tea, coffee, milk, butter, home-made jam and bread all provided for our arrival. You couldn't wish for a more comfortable cottage and a more peaceful place. Can't wait to go back!

Every thing was superb. Our hosts were so genuinely friendly and accommodating. Housekeeper's Cottage was a grand country house filled with beautiful furniture of that period and we had access to the grounds- all nine acres. We particularly liked the lovely log wood burner. Our thanks again to the owners for letting us share their beautiful home in such wonderful Shropshire scenery and countryside.

We immediately felt at home and were very comfortable throughout our stay, from beginning to end. The 'whole' home experience was welcoming and attention to detail was fascinating. This is a very quiet, secluded haven and is to be enjoyed to the full if you want that kind of experience, with the added personal attention (much welcomed) of the proprietors.
