A lovely grassy route leads from the village to the neighbouring town of Craster, along the coast and past Dunstanburgh Castle, the largest ruin in Northumberland. Embleton includes a village bar and a hotel, while nearby Alnwick offers an excellent selection of amenities. The beautiful gardens of adjacent Howick Hall are open during the summer, while Alnwick Castle and Garden are a must-see for visitors to the area. The Dunstanburgh Links Course is just one mile away and is one of several outstanding courses in the area.
