Lavender Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom semi-detached cottage situated in the heart of Beadnell and can sleep four people. There is a double bedroom, a single bedroom, a shower room, an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area and also a conservatory. Outside there is roadside parking and an enclosed garden area with patio and furniture. Lavender Cottage is a wonderful holiday base. Towels not included in rent.

Area
Situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline, Beadnell Bay is an attractive and peaceful harbour village established in Saxon times as an important fishing village and a 'smuggler's haven'. Somewhat more peaceful now, this settlement still lists fishing as one of its major sources of income but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and nearby sandy beaches. Within the village itself is a shop and two pubs which serve excellent food. The popular town of Seahouses is just over a mile away and has a further selection of shops, supermarkets and restaurants whilst the nearby Farne Islands offer an excellent spot for bird watching whilst the market town of Alnwick is just a short drive away.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Lavender cottage is a perfect place for a holiday or short break lovely village with all the amenities you need ,village shop and local pub with a beer garden 10 mins walk to sea and beautiful beach ,also 10 mins drive into seahouses with a little harbour ,would definitely recommend ..

The bed felt small and uncomfortable.. If you turned over the bed and headboard creaked/banged. Issues with loo handle ( dealt with efficiently by Sykes) Bathroom tired and in need of updating. Bathroom door didn't close properly which affected our privacy.

Lavender Cottage was good, drain in the shower is not flowing freely and the key safe was quite stiff to use when we were leaving .. It had all the things you need, on arrival it was very appreciated to have milk tea bags and can’t forget the biscuits. Ideal for my dog , lovely quiet area and very enjoyable walks on the beach

Lovely week at this quiet cottage, (appreciating the tea, milk & biscuits when we arrived), so much so we've rebooked for the autumn.. The independent shop near the beach is a gem. So much to do in the area & plenty of places to take the dog.

The location is ideal as a base for a Northumberland holiday or break.. There are excellent facilities within a very short distance, including a handy little shop and the huge Beadnell beach, great for walking on, especially with a dog.

We enjoyed our stay st Lavender Cottage very much.. It was exactly as described. It is comfortable and clean. The equipment and crockery provided in the kitchen was more than adequate for our needs. The booking was straightforward and the owner was on hand to answer any queries we had. The location is great with a pub, cafe and restaurant within the village and a beautiful beach a short stroll away. We would definitely stay here again.

Cottage in an ideal position for beaches and sightseeing in the area.. Lovely view from the garden which was safe for the dog. But, bathroom and small bedroom a little on the small size, did not spoil our stay in the cottage though.

Perhaps the only fault with this property is the heat of the hot domestic water it would easily scald a child but overall very comfortable and clean would definitely book again ..

No welcome pack or information on local shop etc.. No tea and coffee and milk provided which has been with all others. Shelf in fridge unstable, lost full bottle of wine when opened door. Only one toilet roll, no tissues. These are only small items but it makes a difference especially if you have travelled a distance.
