Old Hall Cottage is a delightful semi-detached, stone-built farmhouse situated in the the hamlet of Stackhouse, close to Settle. The cottage can sleep nine people in four bedrooms comprising of a king-size double, a double, a single and a family room with a double and single. The cottage also has a bathroom and a ground floor basin and WC. There is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area, as well as a separate dining room. Outside there is off road parking for three cars and a lawned garden with patio, furniture and a hot tub. Old Hall Cottage is located in lovely countryside but only a short drive from a market town with its amenities and would suit a large family or group of friends wanting to explore this stunning area.

Four bedrooms: 1 x king-size double, 1 x double with basin, 1 x single, 1 x family room with 1 super king-size double (zip/link, can be twin on request) and 1 single. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Shower room with walk-in shower only. Ground floor basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, breakfast bar (seats 2), dining area (seats 6) and sitting area with multi-fuel stove. Utility. Dining room with small double sofa bed and open fire.

Area
Settle is a popular market town situated at the south west rim of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The market day in Settle is held on a Tuesday and the town has shops, restaurants, pubs and a public swimming pool. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country and the natural attractions of Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are well worth exploring. Also within driving distance is the nearby towns of Skipton and Malham.

Fuel, power and starter pack for stove and fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair (cot bedding not provided). Off road parking for 3 cars. Bike storage. Lawned garden with patio, furniture and hot tub. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 12 mins walk. Note: No stag/hen parties, or similar. Please note: the hot tub may not be up to temperature on arrival and please can guests vacate the hot tub from 10pm every night and ensure no music is played in the garden from this time.

Very comfortable, clean, well located cottage near Settle.. Owner was friendly. On our first night we left a message for her that there was no sieve, colander or (critically) coffee pot. We were very impressed when she responded by delivering those items the next morning. We enjoyed our stay very much. There were 3 issues which would have improved our stay if they had been addressed before we arrived - provide sharp kitchen knives, improve heating in the kitchen/living room (the wood burner was only just adequate when going full blast), improve the walk-in shower (the tray filled with water in 2 minutes as the drain was very slow/blocked, and when first turned on water projected over the enclosure wetting towels and clothes)

I normally never leave reviews, but this place deserves one! We stayed for 2 nights, 5 adults and 4 children and had a fantastic time. It was so cosy with the open log fire, and the hot tub was a brilliant. Beds very comfy. We went for a nice walk and ended up at The Knights head cafe which was lovely. I messaged Janet a few times asking questions and she always got back to me straight away. We will hopefully be returning again soon.

Lovely cottage! We all had a fab girly weekend away and arrived to find that the log burner had been lit for us. We also used the hot tub which was a great added bonus! Would def recommend and book again

Thank you so much it Janet for making our stay super easy and a much needed break away together. The location is beautiful, we were incredibly lucky with the weather (in December!) and could see for miles each morning. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with a huge modern kitchen. It’s not the most modern of places but that didn’t bother us - it had everything we needed. We only stayed for two nights. One night we cooked a full Christmas dinner and enjoyed the hot tub which is lovely. We all agreed to try make old hall cottage a yearly tradition.

We stayed from 11th October until 14 th October as a group "get together" for a retirement , it was a perfect setting for us all , walks , pubs , shops, tea rooms all within very easy reach.. The cottage itself ideal for a group , facilities marvellous , spaceous and clean , with some added touches of towels and robes for the hot tub . We have made special memories on our weekend . thankyou

This property has a lot of potential, but is not what we would consider of 4 star quality. Dated and crowded furniture, poor quality fixtures and fittings and sub-standard cleanliness throughout. At the time of our stay, significant construction work was taking place in the adjoining property which we were not warned about. This disturbed our weekdays during our stay and had we have known, we would have booked a different property. As a minimum, for an expensive long weekend, it would have been lovely to have received a welcome basket. Less expensive and lower rated properties offer this. Instead we had to move a mop bucket, a half finished drink and a slug. Really disappointing stay.

Wonderful experience.. Janet was great at answering all of our requests, such as borrowing a cup of laundry detergent! Loved the heated floors in the kitchen and the hot tub. Oh that hot tub, we loved it after a chilly day in the dales. Beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen was amazing. Great stay, highly recommend it.

Lovely relaxing break in wonderful surroundings.. Everything we needed at the cottage and more....plenty of crockery..cutlery and glassware...plenty of towels and bath robes for the hot tub. Comfy beds with quality linen, pillows and duvets. The owner rang to check everything was OK which we all thought was a lovely touch. Certainly recommend the Old Hall Cottage for a fabulous break away in a beautiful and accessible location.

When we arrived the cottage was immaculately clean and the hot tub was ready to use, with toweling dressing gowns as well as towels.. The hot tub was also regularly checked, which was excellent as the children (and adults) loved it. The facilities and equipment were really good, with plenty of pots and crocks for our large family (although one of the double beds appeared to have a very slight slope). Great spot in a lovely hamlet, with good local walks and countryside on the doorstep, but near enough to Settle for supplies. Would recommend.

This smart, well equipped and comfortable cottage is located in a small hamlet just outside Settle, perfect for walks around the Yorkshire Dales.. The hot tub was a very enjoyable added bonus, a must at the end of each day for tired legs. A great location for a family getaway. We will be back!

The furniture and decor is dated.. The hot tub was a soft tub that didnt work properly. There was no welcome basket which i have always had at other cottages. The taps in the bathroom over the bath were awful to use as they splashed everywhere making it a nuisance to take a bath. Kitchen was lovely.

The cottage was well equipped for a self catering stay and the owners can’t do enough to make sure that your stay is a pleasant one.. The location of the cottage is lovely fantastic views very quiet area within walking distance of town centre and the soft tub was great. We had a perfect girls break together for a very reasonable price would definitely return!

The cottage was beautiful, just what we needed for a family holiday. Very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The decor was tasteful, accommodation clean and the beds were comfy. There was plenty of info on things to do and places to eat. The owners were great, very helpful; we had a problem with the heating and they came to sort quickly. The hot tub was an added bonus and we made the most of it, it was cleaned a few times while we were there! Would highly recommend.

The cottage is set in a beautiful, quiet but easily accessible location.. The bedrooms are a good size and overall the house is spacious with a fabulous kitchen. We didn't get to use the hot tub as we had done the 3 peaks and needed to eat but it looked fabulous. The only teeny criticism would be that the doors to the bathroom and shower room are opaque glass which is not very private! It wouldn't stop me staying there again though and as soon as I get an excuse I will be booking it again.
