Cross Beck Cottage is a stone-built, detached cottage situated by a babbling brook in the small hamlet of Grinton, just one mile from Reeth. This cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, consisting of one twin bedroom and a king-size double with en-suite bath, as well as a separate shower room. The cottage also has a kitchen with breakfast bar and a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Outside there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed patio with furniture. Tennis can be arranged at an additional charge of £10, please speak to the owner directly to arrange this or for more information and please bring your own equipment. Ideal for couples, Cross Beck Cottage is wonderfully placed for exploring all that there is to see within this part of the Yorkshire Dales.

Area
The popular village of Reeth is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers the Swaledale Museum, traditional inns and shops. The market towns of Richmond and Leyburn are also within easy reach, as are the Aysgarth Falls, Semerwater and Hardraw Force.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Underfloor oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking at a first come first serve basis. Enclosed patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops 1 mile, pub 2 mins walk. Note: Property next to a babbling brook, children must be supervised. Please note: Between the beginning of April and the end of October, this property can only accept a Friday check in. Please note: The property can only accept short breaks with a minimum of 3 nights.

Absolutely fabulous break away with the family.. Cottage was very well appointed, immaculately clean and nice and modern. Very tastefully decorated and perfect for us. The hosts were lovely, we had the pleasure of meeting them several times, as they live next door. Everything we needed was provided with an excellent base of products - making packing so much easier. A good supply of dishwasher/washing machine tablets, toilet rolls, cloths, kitchen roll etc. The cottage is very well located for exploring Swale dale, 1 mile form Reeth and beautiful walks surround it. Very private back garden and we can't wait to go back in the summer! Thankyou for a lovely New Year break away!

Cross Beck cottage in Yorkshire Dales provided us an excellent location for many beautiful walks.The cottage was spotlessly clean and so quiet and peaceful.So lovely to sit in the cottage and watch the chickens,lambs and sheep in the field ..the property was well cared for with many little thoughtful extras and the owner close by should we need additional support or information..It was hard to leave after such a lovely week enjoying the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.

Looking for somewhere to stay for a short pre-Christmas break with friends we booked Cross Beck Cottage and are glad we did! The cottage was perfect. It is very well appointed with everything you need and more. It is absolutely spotless, very clean and well maintained. The owners were friendly and live nearby in the unlikely event that there any problems. The location is great with a number of walks close by. The Bridge Inn, a stone's throw away, is very cosy and welcoming and serves good food and drink. We enjoyed our stay and when we revisit the area we will definitely be looking at staying here again.

Cross Beck cottage was a great place for a very comfortable and quiet stay.. It was also spotless and nicely warm when we arrived (very welcome having driven through some snow coming over the tops). The standard of equipment and furnishing was also very high throughout. The setting couldn't have been better with the excellent local pub a couple of minutes away and great walks starting from the doorstep.

An extremely well equipped and comfortable cottage for 4 . Very clean with all mod cons and excellent wifi. Two comfortable bedrooms and good bathrooms, one with bath and one with power shower. Beautiful views and very private, but with lovely villages and walks on the doorstep. Good information in the cottage about local area, including maps and useful information about facilities in the area.

We booked this cottage to enable me to do some family genealogy research. The cottage is in a beautiful quiet location, within a very short walking distance of a great pub for meals and a pint. the area is beautiful !!! The Cottage is perfect !!! owners friendly and cottage spotless . Has everything you could want. 1 mile to village shops, pubs and a folk museum. Owners very helpful ! Can't recommend it highly enough.

just returned from this cottage. it is a gem of a cottage in a perfect location in possibly the best dale in Yorkshire. the cottage is perfect and immaculate, the owners have thought of everything. but the gem is the walled rear garden, completely private wit fantastic views. The village of Reeth is near to walk to either by road, but better still by track and river Swale. It had everything of good quality you need; excellent pub food, tea shops and bakery. The cottage was better than Home from Home!
