Braeside is a stone-built, semi-detached cottage in the centre of Reeth. The cottage sleeps eight people in three bedrooms which are made up of a double room, a family room with a double and adult bunk beds and a 2'6" twin room. There is also a family bathroom and a shower room, a kitchen with a utility, a dining room and a sitting room. Outside there is parking nearby on the village green, and a lawned garden with furniture and a BBQ. Braeside is a great place for a real Dales adventure.

Area
The pretty, ever-popular village of Reeth rests at the northern tip of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where Arkengarthdale and Swaledale meet, nestled between Calver Hill, Fremington Edge and Harkerside. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with lovely rolling hills and spectacular views, Reeth boasts a colourful history as it was originally a Saxon settlement, and has also been known as a lead mining town and a centre for hand knitting throughout its time. Both trades are proudly featured in the Swaledale Museum, located alongside a good range of shops, tea rooms and restaurants.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Fantastic Cottage set on the heart of the Village and close to amenities.. The owners went the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome. In fact Braeside is the best supplied cottage we have stayed in.

This cottage had the best facilities we have ever experienced in the many years we have enjoyed cottage holidays.. Lots of thoughtful additions and recent upgrades added to the visit, including additional cleaning products, a new, well equipped kitchen and outdoor furniture. The cottage was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location was great, positioned overlooking the green with shops and pubs on the doorstep. A great base in which to explore the beautiful Dales and to relax in after a busy day walking. Highly recommend a stay here.

I have been visiting Reeth for many years.. Taking my children when they were young. So to take my daughter and her two year old twins was very special. The owners of Braeside could not have been more helpful. The cottage is beautifully decorated and extremely well appointed. Stunning views across the green and Fremington edge. We will definitely be returning.

Braeside is a lovely cottage nestled on the edge of the village green in Reeth.. It is spotlessly clean and the furnishings are maintained to a very high standard. There is plenty to see and do in the area or you can just spend a relaxing day in the beautiful front garden watching the world go by.

It was our third stay there.. Clean crisp bedding, plenty of liquid soap and toilet rolls etc ( some places leave the bare essentials ). The place looks out on to the green. Nice court yard at the back. Lovely in summer and cosy in winter.

Sykes kept in contact about the booking.. The cottage was absolutely lovely (5 ticks score easily)! Reeth is a small village with some shops and 3 pubs. Great location for exploring the area (ayesgarth falls, hawes cheese factory, leyburn etc). Would really recommend Braeside cottage as your base. Loved it and will book there again.

Mr. and Mrs Austin are to be congratulated on the excellence of Braeside.. Having stayed in many cottages this has to be given top marks. It was equipped with everything that one would have in one's own home. We all spent a very comfortable and happy week there and would certainly go there again. Everything from the ease of booking it through Sykes was first class, including a week of unbroken sunshine!
