To the outside is roadside parking on a first come, first served basis and a small enclosed patio to the rear. The Tannery is a well-equipped, family retreat in this wonderful seaside town.

Whitby is also ideally placed for exploring other seaside destinations such as Scarborough, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay as well as North York Moors National Park.

Lovely and bright little place to fit our family of 5, and we were able to confirm our booking the day before our travel :) A few hours late, I received a greeting call from Helen to make sure that we knew our way to the Tannery.. After a long journey from Bedfordshire with train delays, we were pleased to see the place filled with necessity that you would want for 3 active children. Helen even left us some milk, juice in the fridge so that we could relax on a Sunday evening with most of the shops already closed. Plus there were delicious home made cup cakes, which were nicely arranged on the cake stand but quickly scoffed down by the hungry mob in no time! Gonna love the Yorkshire hospitality:)
