The delightful North York Moors village of Ruswarp is just two miles away from Whitby and on the boundary of the National Park. The viaduct crossing the River Esk is constructed out of an astonishing 5,250,000 bricks, it is 120 feet high and it was built to carry the Scarborough to Whitby railway line. It is now known as 'The Cinder Track' and is used as a walk and cycleway. There is river and sea fishing to be enjoyed in the area or time can be spent boating on the river. Along with the famous North York Steam Railway, train buffs can appreciate a trip on Ruswarp's miniature steam railway. This village is in a tremendous area for an unforgettable holiday.
