Sea Shanty is a duplex apartment situated in Whitby, North Yorkshire. Its two bedrooms include a king-size with a bath as well as a twin room, there is also a family bathroom, the property can sleep four people. Also inside, the cottage boasts an open-plan living area which includes a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire. To the outside, there are public car parks in the town. Sea Shanty is a tasteful property placed conveniently and centrally in one of North Yorkshire's most beautiful spots. Note: Stairs to second floor are steep and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility, prams or pushchairs.

Over first and second floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x second floor king-size with a free-standing bath, hand-held shower and basin, 1 x first floor twin. First floor bathroom with a shower over bath, basin and WC. First floor open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric fire.

Area
Whitby is an old fishing port surrounded by the North York Moors National Park on the banks of the River Esk. It boasts a wealth of different amenities as well as a stunning harbour, a stunning abbey and a sandy beach with a pier. Walkers and cyclists can explore the North York Moors, a landscape also abounding in timeless villages.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Electric heating, electric fire. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi. TVs in each bedroom with Freeview, DVD player and Bluetooth speakers. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. A parking scratchcard will be avaible in the property and can be used for on street parking in any W zone, please ensure you have your scratchcard before parking. Sorry, no pets and no smoking or vaping. Shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants and beach all within a short stroll from the property. Note: Stairs to second floor are steep, may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Note: this property can only supply a high chair on request, any other equipment such as stair gate or cot will need to be provided by yourselves.

The property is very clean and comfortable Nice to have slipper bath on top floor bedroom which is private from other 2 staying with us, so can get away to read etc. Beds and bedding comfortable and good white Egyptian cotton towels provided. In centre of the town so a little noisy but close to all bars and restaurants (didn't bother us) Good contact with the owner easy unloading and entry to property Very busy but managed to park and leave the car!!! Great to have parking permit Much appreciated welcome pack thank you

Stayed here for a week from 24th July, the flat was very comfortable with everything you needed. Bedrooms were a great size with comfy beds, and a beautiful view from the twin room. large bathroom with a great shower. The lounge and kitchen area were cosy with everything you needed and more. Whitby an amazing place to see, beautiful views from almost everywhere. This accomodation is very central in the middle of Whitby, with great communication with the owner. Great fish restaurant The Fisherman's Wife is a must it was amazing food and looked out onto the beach. Downsides were the amount of stairs leading to the flat and the parking a nightmare. We intended on a road trip but left our car parked up all week as frightened on reparking, weekends the worst. The permits were a great added bonus. Great public transport to surrounding areas and pretty towns.

We stayed here in Jan 22. Immaculately clean, and equipped with all you need. Brilliant central communication and Lindsay the owner was really helpful with everything. I've stayed at several places in Whitby, but this is the best so far. The accomodation isover 2 floors , with great views of the Abbey and passing boats from the top floor . We will be back !

Just returned from a fantastic week in this beautiful holiday home. Very well furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need, and spotlessly clean which was even more appreciated than normal in these Covid times. Very centrally located to explore lovely Whitby and surrounding areas and nice extra touches including Christmas tree, welcome pack, wine and chocolates. Plenty of information supplied by Lindsay the owner both in advance and in the accommodation made everything so easy. Would strongly recommend and we hope to be back very soon

Lovely apartment with everything you should need for a short break. Comfortable beds and linen, luxury towels and large bath. Fab break, we've enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning soon.

Couldn't fault the accommodation, the location, the facilities or reception.. A lovely place to stay and somewhere I will certainly be returning to. Everything went very smoothly and everyone concerned was both helpful an efficient. Even the weather was great, which for Whitby in February, was definitely a surprise.
