Thornton Dale is a picturesque village in North Yorkshire's Ryedale region. Located on the eastern edge of the North York Moors National Park and just east of the bustling town of Pickering, this picturesque village is hard to beat. There is a Georgian inn, a home-style bistro called Brandysnap, and a tea room called Lavenders Tea Rooms, Gifts, and Takeaway. Get what you need at the corner store, and if you're looking for some fresh produce, there are two farm stands not far from the village. Pickering is a vibrant market town full of unique shops, the historic Pickering Castle, and the fun Flamingo Land Resort. North York Moors National Park is a fantastic place to explore, with its unique landscape and abundance of wildlife. Travel a bit further to Scarborough, a popular seaside resort where you can enjoy a day at the water park, some fish and chips on the boardwalk, and a dose of history at Scarborough Castle.
