Area
This location, with its stone-built cottages and village butcher, is ideally placed for discovering the countryside, and the surrounding area is somewhat of a walker’s heaven. You may also wish to enjoy the nearby lake or visit the traditional tea rooms for some light refreshment! A little further afield the historic market town of Malton offers quaint shopping streets, whilst the famous family beaches and seaside attractions of Scarborough are not to be missed.

The owners were very helpful and friendly.. The cottage was lovely and clean and comfortable. The cottage was situated in lovely countryside ideal for touring the North York moors and the east coast.

This is a beautiful property on a farm about a mile north of Sawdon village in Yorkshire about 3 miles off the A170 roughly halfway between Pickering and Scarborough.. Although it is on a farm, there is very little farm noise as the cottage is well away from any work areas. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and at night it is totally dark and utterly silent. Best nights sleep I've had in ages. The heating is great and the hot water is plentiful. It wasn't warm enough to sit out, there's a lovely secluded patio with fantastic views that would be brilliant in the summer evenings. Will definitely go again.Highly recommend.
