Dairy Cottage is in the village of Staintondale, just on the edge of the North York Moors. This charming cottage makes a wonderful romantic retreat, with a king-size double bedroom, and a bathroom with spa bath. The living area is open plan, with a fitted kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside, the small enclosed patio is a great spot for an evening tipple, and there is ample off road parking. With Whitby and Scarborough a short drive away, and excellent walking and cycling on the moors, Dairy Cottage is an ideal base whatever the season.

Area
The village of Staintondale in North Yorkshire is ideally placed for both coast and country. Set between the popular resorts of Whitby and Scarborough, Staintondale lies on the edge of the North York Moors yet is within a mile of the sea. For walking or cycling, riding or exploring the fishing village or sandy beaches of the coastline, Staintondale makes a lovely base.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Absolutely loved this cottage, very modern, clean and cosy. Lovely welcome gift of some goodies. Plenty of cooking equipment. Great shower and modern bathroom. Cute little garden and parking right by the cottage. Great views around and location short drives to surrounding places like Whitby and Scarborough. Would visit again.

A really lovely cottage, finished to a high standard. We have stayed in a lot of self- catering places and this is one of the best. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Bathroom has separate bath and spacious shower. Great location for walking, including direct from the cottage. The Cleveland Way and Whitby to Scarborough cinder track are nearby and it is easy to devise circular walks of any length. Stunning coastal scenery. Between Whitby and Scarborough which are both interesting for a day out.

My husband and I have just returned from four nights at Dairy Cottage and it's been wonderful. Beautifully modern cottage, perfect for a couple wanting away from it all with great links. The cottage was immaculate and was fully equipped (the lack of wifi was a welcome escape!) Only 20 minutes from Whitby and with great local pubs. Very friendly dog welcomed us on our arrival and we did have a very flighty uninvited guest (keep the front door closed!) in the shape of a swift. Perfect little cottage, would return and recommend in a heart beat!

The cottage was in a beautiful quiet spot with great views to the sea. The bathroom was amazing, with a whirlpool bath and heated floor! The kitchen was well equipped. It was equal distance from Whitby and Scarborough so we were able to get out and about and enjoy both places.

This cottage certainly had the WOW factor. The decor was lovely, the furnishings beautiful and the scenery, when you opened the front door first thing in the morning, was something you would want to see every day - sheep, horses and rolling fields. Dairy Cottage was absolutely lovely, and the ideal property for two people. It is in a great location near to Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby thus making in a great base to explore the area. The cottage itself has been decorated to an extremely high standard and the addition of the log burner was a really nice touch. We really cannot fault it, and would definitely like to come back and spend a whole week rather than just a long weekend.

This must be about the best holiday cottage we have ever rented from any company. The fittings and equipment were top class, the bathroom the very best we have found in a holiday rental. It is located near to some stunning country side and coast with walks galore.

The cottage was well situated for visiting the local towns of Whitby & Scarborough & the beautiful coastal scenery. The cottage was stylish and attractively decorated and had everything we needed. It was a great pleasure to stay there. The owner was friendly and helpful and even the dog was welcoming! We did not know the area prior to this visit and were very pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see and do. We will return one day and will have no hesitation in staying at Staintondale again. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
