There are three bedrooms in the property sleeping five guests, including a king-size, a second-floor king-size and a single, served by a shower room. There is also a kitchen and a living/dining room with a woodburning stove. Outside you can find roadside parking on a first-come, first-served basis, and a rear enclosed courtyard with furniture and secure bike storage. Potter Hill Cottage is a wonderful choice for an escape with family or friends to North Yorkshire.

Pickering is a historic market town sitting on the border of the North York Moors National Park, in easy reach of a wide range of countryside and coastal attractions. The town is home to a good range of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, with the nearby North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway being a particular delight for any Harr Potter fans. With access to York, Whitby, Scarborough and Filey too, there's plenty to explore around Pickering.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

An absolutely fantastic cottage and most definitely the cleanest and well furnished holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. The overall cleanliness of this property is a credit to the owners. We have booked to stay again. A definite 10/10 from us.

Just wonderful! We took my parents for a couple of nights getaway as my mum was facing major surgery the following week. The Cottage was beautiful and perfect for the five of us with sleeping arrangements. The owners messaged us and left us a lovely hamper on the dining table. We will definitely return and offer a huge thank you to Sykes Cottages and the Owners for a hassle free and very comfortable trip.

This place is furnished and decorated to a beautiful standard, linen and towels are of high quality and the small touches like wine, milk and chocolates upon arrival make your welcome that much warmer. What I would advise is to book early to avoid disappointment as I lost a few dates due to dallying and I realised the demand for this place is high and soon books up.

Upon arrival the cottage was above and beyond or expectations . The cottage had everything that we required , Thank you for the welcome pack that we received upon arrival this was a lovely touch and very welcoming . The surrounding area is very friendly and close to the local shops and we enjoyed our walks around the town. we are now looking forward to our next stay thank you .

If your looking for the perfect place to stay you can’t go past this beautiful cottage. It feels like home from the moment you arrive with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The beds are comfortable and everything has recently been updated. It’s position in the village is ideal with everything within easy walking distance and you can’t go wrong with a great fish and chip shop just up the road. The owners made us feel very welcome with a lovely Christmas tree in the open plan lounge and dining area and the fireplace was lovely and cosy on the cold winter nights. We will definitely be back and recommending this cottage to our friends. Thank you so much to the owners for making our stay in Pickering so enjoyable.
