There is also a modern, fitted kitchen with a Belfast sink, dining room and a sitting room with an open fire to curl up in front of after a busy day. Outside there is a small front garden and off road parking for one car and unlimited roadside parking opposite the property, making Fairholme a great base for a lovely holiday.

Area Hinderwell is a small, lively village close to the fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay. Hinderwell was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Hildrewell, a derivation of Hilda's Well, named for the Abbess of Whitby who was travelling through the parish in a drought and was asked to intercede. Her prayers were answered when a spring appeared near the sight of the present Parish Church, and this spring has continued to flow from the hillside to this day.
