Located on the Yorkshire coast, 14 miles from Whitby is the small community of Loftus. Terraced houses, old stone cottages, and a few stately stone dwellings make up this once-thriving alum-mining community. The town's long and bustling main street is home to several businesses, including restaurants, bars, financial institutions, and the grand town hall. A recreation centre with a first-rate pool may be found just off the main drag. Loftus is conveniently located between the picturesque fishing towns of Runswick Bay and Staithes, the latter of which is a favourite among painters. Saltburn, four miles to the north, is a chic spa town with a golf course and a long pier that stretches out over the wide dunes. We are conveniently located near both the beautiful landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors and the Jurassic fossil shoreline.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
