Mrs Lindridge
July 2018
Upon arrival at Stable cottage, we received a warm welcome from the owners.. Once we entered the cottage we were disappointed. Thankfully we were only using as a base, so not planning on spending much time in the cottage.
My husband is disabled and has problems with mobility, hence why we booked the cottage, wet room, disabled bar to hold onto by the toilet and all one level.
The wet room you could hardly open the door as the bed was blocking the door, you could not even open the door half way!
I have never stayed anywhere where the seating was so uncomfortable, so it was hard to relax, watch tv or read a book.
The beds, it was like sleeping on boards, the bed linen was supposed to be white, but it gone that yellow colour, from where it had seen better days!
On the surface it looked clean, but it wasn't, the lampshades had flies in them, cobwebs!!!
If we had been there for more than 3 nights, I think we would have left and checked into a hotel or come home!
We were really looking forward to spending some time on our own and relaxing, but we left very disappointed with the cottage and relived to come home.
