Hawes is a popular market town in North Yorkshire's Richmondshire region, and is considered one of the Yorkshire Dales National Park's honeypot tourist attractions. Wensleydale and the surrounding dales of Swaledale, Cotterdale, Dentdale, Garsdale, Wharfedale, and Chapel-le-Dale are all easily accessible from the town, which is situated between Buttertubs and Fleet Moss.

Just spent a fabulous weekend at this lovely, well equipped dales cottage. A real find. Bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in - perfect to fall into after a days walking. Would definitely use again if ever in the area.

The cottage was in a lovely location. The beds were lovely and clean. The things that let it down was the lounge. The carpet was really dirty and there was signs of dog pee. We didn't feel comfortable and had to wear our shoes in the house because of the dirt.It was a very dark cottage and out side in the front was unkempt and uneven paving. We loved tge village but wouldn't stay there.
