A short drive away is the historic port of Whitby, where there is a colourful promenade which covers a 3-mile stretch of award-winning sandy beach. Fylingthorpe rests on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, where you can find scenic walking and cycling routes, as well as the opportunity for golfing and fishing, and a steam train ride to discover some of Yorkshire’s finest scenery, such as the beautiful Esk Valley and the famous village of Goathland.
