If you like woods, streams & waterfalls then this is a MUST visit. As soon as my taxi pulled into the driveway I immediately knew that this was the place for me.
The beautifully landscaped garden blends into the wooded area perfectly, with a private walkway through the woods that leads to the famous St. Nectan’s Glen (60ft waterfall).
Mill Cottage where I stayed (three cottages and a house for holiday let’s) was delightful, with views of the garden and stream. Everything one needs is supplied, even hot water bottle! The owner Robin Evans lives in The Keep adjacent to the cottage and was so very helpful, with an expansive knowledge of the area and wildlife.
It is only a 15-20 minute walk in to Tintagel, (legend of King Arthur abounds) with Rocky Valley even closer. The dramatic coastal scenery is all within walking distance, however it is the wooded valley that just melts your stress away. 10/10 Thoroughly recommend staying here, it’s a truly delightful, magical place.
