The Courtyard is a lovely reverse-level barn conversion situated in a rural location near the Cornish town of Porthleven. The barn sleeps two adults and has one king bedroom, a bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is as shared courtyard with seating and off road parking for one car. With a rural setting but within easy reach of beaches and harbours, The Courtyard is an excellent barn for a couple's holiday. 2 well-behaved pets welcome, charge for 2nd pet.

Porthleven is one of south west Cornwall’s hidden coastal gems, located near Helston famous for its annual Flora Dance Festival. Situated between Lizard Point and Land’s End, Porthleven retains the feel of a traditional Cornish fishing village, enjoying uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful Cornish coastline. The iconic clock tower sits on the harbour entrance and the pubs, shops, cafés and restaurants cluster around the historic picturesque inner harbour, where there is plenty of boating and marine activity.

You met expectations as we have stayed at Sykes holiday cottages before on several occasions now, and know the very high standards of your lets.. The Courtyard was perfect for the just the two of us (no dogs or parrots this time!), and Jonathan was as welcoming and helpful as the last occasion, when we stayed in the Mill next door. A fascinating stay on a working farm, and a great base to visit the many attractions of this tip of England's most westerly county.

It’s is really good that you can take your dog but quite annoying that they cannot go on any of the beaches between Easter and October.. It would be very helpful to put this in the information provided about the cottage and surrounding areas. All in all it was a loverly holiday but a lot fewer pubs than expected and places to eat in the evenings.

The Courtyard is an absolute delight, we loved our stay there.. Such a surprise to find a welcome pack for us on arrival including a bottle of wine, fresh flowers and all the makings of cream teas. The cottage was so well equipped and there was everything you would need for a comfortable stay. There was even a bonio for our dog! Loved the upside down barn and so quiet and serene. We heard owls hooting at night which was lovely! This cottage is very well situated for travelling round Cornwall, we were ideally placed to explore everywhere then come home to "our" cosy cottage after a busy day out. Would highly recommend.
