Amari is a wing of a stone cottage, located near Staxton in North Yorkshire. It has one king-size bedroom and a shower room, and can sleep up to two people. Also inside there is a kitchen and a living/dining room. To the outside you will find off road parking for one car and an enclosed rear garden with a lawn and a patio with furniture. Amari is a delightful cottage in a wonderful location for exploring North Yorkshire. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome. Note: Steep drop in garden from lawn to patio, please take care at all times.

Area
The village of Staxton lies near Wolds Way, 7 miles from Scarborough. A pretty street winds its way through the village, offering a butcher’s and a pub. Ganton Golf Course is 2 miles away, or try clay pigeon shooting at Cotton Dale. Filey and Scarborough, with their beaches, are a short drive away, bird watch at Bempton or visit Malton or York with its Minster and Jorvik Viking Centre.

Region
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

The cottage was very homely and the owners were very friendly but not intrusive.. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and relaxing. Everything you needed was supplied including thoughtful extras for the dog. The rear out side was excellent including garden and good parking facilities. One of the best Sykes cottages I’ve stayed in and would definitely revisit this cottage again.

The cottage is very cosy, but the shower cubicle is very small which was a bit of a problem for us, but we managed.. The cooker hob needs to be checked out, it took just over 30mins to cook 4 sausages!! Fortunately we had all our main meals in the different places we visited & the great pub across the road. Apart from those couple of things we were very comfortable.

Have just spent a week at Amari in Flixton it was perfect location for sight seeing round the area.. It was a cosy comfortable cottage well equipped home from home - Paul and Helen were lovely very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble for them would not hesitate to return.

I gave the owners my feedback direct.. This is about Sykes Holidays. YOU send e mails to me almost daily that I don't need. I will not recommend Sykes because of the junk mail you receive after making a booking.

Comfortable and relaxing holiday cottage.. Shower cubicle a bit snug. Very well equipped kitchen. The bedroom is a beautifully decorated haven of peace. Foxhounds bar and restaurant two minutes walk away, dog friendly, good food, large portions. Excellent value for money! Lovely tea room over the road. Contrary to the cottage information, Morrison's supermarket is more than five minutes away, more like twenty, not signposted and hidden on an industrial estate. More detailed directions required. Overall an exceptional place to stay, well positioned for the coastal attractions North Yorkshire has to offer.

The only problem we had was that Amari isn't in Staxton! It's a nearby village called Flixton. Apart from that the cottage itself is superb.

Every thing had been thought of from dog bags and towels to clean pet to towels bedding and scone milk tea coffee.. First class.would recommend 100% Will book to stay again later in year

Amari is beautifully presented, and supplied with a wide range of high quality equipment.. The 'welcome pack' of scones, cream and jam was, indeed, highly welcome, and delicious. Fresh milk, coffee and tea was also provided. Though the cottage fronts onto the road the rear garden is ideal for sitting out in the sun (when there is any!) and has comfortable chairs and a table. There is private parking behind the garden close to the cottage. Thoroughly recommended.

This was the most equipped and comfortable cottage we have ever rented.. The hosts thought of everything you'd ever want. We were greeted with milk in the fridge, scones and fresh fruit. The bedding and towels were provided , even to include tea towels!
