Lovely clean cottage with everything you would need for a self catering stay in a really nice setting with plenty of space for parking. We made good use of the hot tub which had additional towels and unbreakable glasses provided. The fresh scones waiting for us on arrival was a lovely touch.

Yew Cottage was a perfect place to stay. It was very clean, well equipped, with good wifi, and a wonderful hot tub. Just perfect to relax in with a glass of prosecco after climbing Helvellyn. The hot tub was checked each day and on the morning we left it was been emptied and cleaned for the next guests. Separate fluffy towels were supplied for use with the hot tub. The ground floor bedroom was ideal for my elderly mother and she even ventured into the hot tub because noone could see her. We found the property private and quiet surrounded by the countryside. There were rabbits, birds and deer that were right outside. There is a separate room with washer/dryer and big fridge/freezer. It was also an ideal room to leave our walking boots and wet jackets to dry out. The location was very good for access to the lakes and mountains. The town was only a 5 minute drive away. We did get a taxi to windermere one evening to a resturant (one of many) that only cost £5. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We are already planning to return with other family members.

Was very clean and comfortable and the hot tub was excellent.. The garden area is shared but the patios are screened off to next door, by a small fence and it can be noisy as you are very close to the other lodges... we got on well with the group next door but I could see it being an issue if all outdoors together. Take toilet rolls with you and there was not a huge amount of serving dishes.

Weekend away 8th March to 10th March - The cottage was lovely and clean very comfortable couldn’t fault anything.. All facilities and equipment was there. Very close walk into Bowness-on-Windermere. Lots of information given in the welcome book and lovely little welcome pack left. Good walks available. Beds were really comfortable and shower very good. Heating and log fire excellent (used due to chilly weather). Hot tub was good nice and clean and hot. As we departed on the Sunday we were allowed to leave at whatever time we wanted which was a bonus instead of the usual 10am check out. Overall a brilliant weekend away. Would defo recommend thank you

From arriving to leaving everything went smoothly ,staff we polite and very helpful.. The overall standard of all the rooms and bathrooms were of a high standard. The welcome pack and book was very much worth the read and would recommend anyone to make sure they read this it was very helpful from order taxi to know where to go and eat. The kitchen was a very good standard there wasn't anything we missed to be able to stay for our long weekend. The welcome pack with the fudge ,mints etc was a lovely touch and very welcoming from us all. Plenty of towels and I like that you have the other towels for the hot tub. I have already recommended the place to my work colleagues and family, any future visits will definitely be looking at your website if not the place to come back to. Thank you again for a lovely stay and was nice to visit somewhere and not have any issues

Just found a few bits under the sofa as I had dropped something which was a child’s toy (we didn’t have children aboard with us) and there was also some smashed glass under the other sofa.. Bed were uncomfortable as I don’t think it helped it was two single beds put together. Everything else was beautiful just the bed lacked us some sleep during our week stay. I would really recommend this to friends and family just the couple of bits mentioned and thinking of coming back next year just don’t know what to do about sleeping arrangements. (You May find me in the jacuzzi)

My friends and I had a most enjoyable stay at this cottage.. The cleanliness of the property was exceptional and we were delighted to have been treated to Kendal mInt cake and some locally home made fudge. Unfortunately we had two complaints. The modern hive heating system failed to work. On the Sunday I tried phoning the office and mobile number to no avail. I then sent a text message to the mobile number and eventually we were contacted. We were told to wait half an hour for it to work but it didn't so I rang again and told to wait another half an hour but still no joy. However, we discovered the following morning on our departure, from Martin, that the boiler needed rebooting! We would not have been able to reboot the boiler as a key was required! The other complaint was the smell coming from the two upstairs bathrooms. We think the cesspit was beside our cottage. Also, you may wish to update your cottage description. All three double bedrooms converted into twin rooms but when the booking was made the description stated that only two doubles converted to twins. A friend who could have stayed ended up booking a local B and B for two nights. Although we had these issues we did have an enjoyable stay and the hot tub helped keep us warm! Would recommend to family and friends.

The location of the cottage was excellent, well within walking distance of Bowness (Even for a member of our group who wasn't a walking fan).. The hot tub was superb, and the kitchen well stocked with everything you'd need. A particular highlight was the single bedroom - usually the worst room, but absolutely lovely here. I've already suggested the place to a few friends!

My only gripe would be the noise from adjacent properties both through the walls and from the gardens/hot tub areas.. Otherwise very comfortable and well equipped.

Fantastic cottage, good facilities and a great hot tub! The property was easy to find and it’s close proximity to Bowness on Windermere was a bonus. Ideal cottage for 4 adults plus a baby and a 2 year old. There was an on site manager who was on call for any problems and all the staff associated with the cottage were very friendly and helpful, I would definitely book there again.
