Wysteria Cottage is a detached property in the centre of Windermere in the Lake District. It comes with four bedrooms made up of two doubles and two twins, along with a bathroom and a shower room, the property can sleep up to eight people. Also inside you will find an open-plan living area containing a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove, as well as a snug room. To the outside you will find off road parking and an enclosed gravel area with furniture. Wysteria Cottage is a beautifully furnished property placed perfectly for a fun-filled Lake District break.

Four bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x ground floor double, 1 x twin, 1 x ground floor twin. Shower room with a double basin and WC, ground floor bathroom with a shower over bath, basin and WC. Open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Snug.

Area
Bowness-on-Windermere is the hub of the Lake District, twin towns offering a vast array of quaint amenities as well as many attractions including the World of Beatrix Potter. Activities are available on Lake Windermere, as are boat trips to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside. Other nearby spots worth visiting include Ambleside and Kendal.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

The house was beautiful and well equipped.. The location was very near to the Windermere junction for the bus and train station but was so quiet. We did experience a problem with opening the front door as the key kept revolving in the lock but eventually got in. We used the rear door for the rest of the week. This is a house we would return to.

Wysteria cottage is a fabulous property and we would definitely use it again.. Its location is ideal. Just a few minutes walk from Windermere which has flourished over the last few years with some lovely bars and cafes, but cottage set just far enough back off road to make it very private and peaceful. Cottage is beautifully furnished, our only comment is that in the winter months we thought that the one thing missing was a large rug of some description on the expanse of laminate floor in the lounge. It would have made that area so much more cozy on the dark autumn/winter nights. Sykes Cottages made booking easy, and provided plenty of info at the property with contact numbers etc if we had any problems, which we didnt! We have stayed in MANY cottages and apartments throughout the Lake District over many years, managed by various companies. We can honestly say that this has been the best property we have stayed in by far, and having become disappointed with the property companies we have dealt with over the years would say that, although this is our first experience dealing with Sykes Cottages they appear to be a company you could rely on.

It really was a delightful, comfy and convenient house/cottage.. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the property, especially the open plan downstairs - there were 7 of us and a baby; it was cold outside but at no time did any if us need to feel the cold; it was on a lovely quiet road, but really close to the shops and cafes - we didn't use a car from the time we arrived to the time we went home 5 days later
