Beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of Wales.. St Ishmaels is a lovely little village, with a nice pub in the centre and close to the coastal path. The cottage was as per the photos and has been recently decorated. It is warm and cosy and has everything you need - the owners contacted us to make sure we had everything we needed and were very generous with their welcome pack, providing logs for the fire etc... We had a great time exploring the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

He cottage was just as described, clean with good facilities and in a quiet and peaceful location.. The oil fired central heating worked a treat and had the place warmed up in no time. WiFi was very good and reliable, the kitchen was well fitted out and equipped and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable with good quality bedding - all in all a cozy place to stay. The cottage is well located for local walks and plenty of places for the coastal path are easy to get to by car as are the towns of Pembroke, Milford Haven and Haverford West. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay and this went on to tick all the boxes for us. There is a local pub a short walk away and we visited four of the five nights we were there, staff and customers were friendly and a decent choice of beers were on tap as well - the only slight downside to it was that there was no food available, I think that may well be a seasonal thing as the leaflet/menu for the pub (in the cottage) looked good - but perhaps our stay in February was a little early for that - it wasn't a problem as we shopped accordingly. There is a washing machine and dryer available in the connected 'outhouse' which all looked fine although it wasn't a facility that we needed to use. Pauline the owner called to make sure everything was OK and to check we were happy with things and whether of not there was anything we needed. The fresh flowers on the dining room table, the packet of Welsh Cakes and the loaf of Bara Brith were a nice touch as well. It was all good and there wasn't anything we didn't like, if we were to be picky then I'd say the water pressure for the shower wasn't fantastic BUT to be clear it wasn't a problem and there was ample hot water for showering and bathing.

Two of our party spent 4 days on Skokholm Island and had a great time.. I spent my time revisiting the area where I was born, spending some time with family members and generally chilling out. Evening meals at The Griffin, Dale and The Swan, Little Haven were excellent. Good pub food at The Grove Inn, St Ishmaels For anyone visiting Pembrokeshire for a first time, St David's is a must do!

The photos of this property are out of date.. The house is badly in need of professional decorating, inside and out. What the photos don't show is that this is the scruffiest looking house on the scruffiest looking street in the village. It was at least pretty clean although would benefit from a thorough spring clean. It's dark and smelt musty every time we walked in. It's not very welcoming to come back to after having been out walking all day. I would give it 3 out of 5, which means I wouldn't go back I'm afraid. A vase of flowers and a few Welsh cakes waiting for us on arrival don't make up for what feels like a neglected property. Needs more attention to detail. The location is ok but there is only one place in the village to get food and that's the village pub which serves very average food. If you want a decent meal then you have to drive elsewhere. Only a 20 minute walk from the stunning coastal cliffs though.

The only point I would like to raise is parking - there was one space only for a car and I met a friend for a holiday we had two cars.. One car had to be parked near the village green. Other then that it was excellent.

Very comfortable cottage, warm and toasty in November.. Easy access to coastal walking routes, St David’s and Tenby in easy reach. First visit to Pembrokeshire and will definitely be back!
