Area Llangaffo is a small village situated between Gaerwen and Newborough on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. The village has views of the Menai Straits and the mountains of Snowdonia, and contains a local store and post office. It is also home to St Caffo’s Church which dates back to 1846 and was named after a 6th century saint who was killed nearby. Just two miles away is the village of Newborough which lies on the edge of forests and dunes, and is home to a population of red squirrels, one of only two colonies on Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers, as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. The famous Anglesey Model Village, set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens, is within half a mile of the village centre and makes a fun day out for the whole family, and Anglesey Sea Zoo, Tacla Taid, the old vehicle museum and Foel Farm are nearby.
Region Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

We visited in October and overall the cottage is just as it appears in the photos. It's up a track so took a little finding but the lady in the local post office gives great directions. It was the little things that left us disappointed.....no welcome hamper, no loo rolls and no logs for the fire. There were signs of slug activity in the lounge each morning but we didn't see them. Fortunately my dog sleeps in a crate on holiday but if your pet doesn't then these are harmful I'm told. I did feed back to the booking agency at the time but I was just thanked for my feedback

Lovely week spent in the cottage - tucked up a quiet lane it’s peaceful and has fabulous views from every room over the Menai and mountains. Well equipped kitchen, nicely decorated, comfy beds and all round very cosy. The housekeeper was really friendly and helpful when we had a minor issue - she came quickly and sorted it out. Garden is secure and great for little dogs and children. Recommend this place highly.

It was a beautiful cottage in a great location with stunning views over Snowdonia.. The facilities were excellent and the little personal touches made it feel very homely...and cosy!
