Bay Lodge was wonderful, and what an awesome view! !!
On arrival we were greeted by Barbara and chocolates, biscuits and wine plus coffee, tea, milk and sugar. More than enough to make you feel more that welcome. Amlwch is a 5-10 minute drive away with a Spar and a Co-op if you need more. Plus there is a chemist and butcher plus takeaways.
Bull Bay itself is part of a spectacular coastline with quite an interesting history of shipwrecks, I am currently reading about the Royal Charter, a book I picked up from the Moelfre Lifeboat Station. There is the coastal walk which can get a little hair raising if like me you're of a nervous disposition but worth doing if you can. It is an excellent base for exploring the whole Island, and when you're done for the day you can come back to Bay Lodge and settle in for the evening with everyone round the kitchen table talking about the day just gone and planning the next day while eating dinner and watching the sun set over the bay, before settling down in the huge living room to watch a bit of TV or reading or playing one of the many games that are here before going for a good nights sleep in one of the 4 lovely bedrooms with very comfortable beds, before waking up for more adventures. We hope to be back here very soon for more adventures !!
