Damp, musty and overpriced. Lots of shoddy repair work that based on other reviews, looks like it’s not been fixed yet. Dont believe the good reviews, you are wasting your money and your stay will be spoilt.

Appalled that this property is available for people to rent in its current condition. Very unclean, paint peeling, crumbling walls, dirt and grim all over, shower held up with cable ties rust and mould, just awful state of repair, requires much needed TLC as could be a lovely property. DO NOT BOOK!! AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT

Converted from a cowshed or similar, the cottage is mostly on the ground floor with an interesting 'snug' on the first floor which we never got round to using. Our original plans changed thanks to Covid-19 so there were only 3 of us and the dog, so plenty of beds to choose from and enough seating to eat and to relax. If we had filled the place to capacity, eating or sitting together would have been more difficult. Kitchen was well-equipped - again might have been a bit stretched if catering for 8 - and there was always plenty of hot water for baths and showers after a day's walking the Anglesey Coastal Path. The dog loved the garden, which was walled/fenced and secure. Location perfect for getting anywhere on the island. Lovely outlook with the lake to one side and views to Holyhead and the ferry terminal on the other. Village shop is a couple of miles away and it was about 13 minutes to a big Tesco store. The owners could not have been more helpful and we have already made a 2021 booking to complete the coast path

Although the cottage sleeps eight, only three of us and a dog were able to travel (Coronavirus restrictions).. As a result there was plenty of room, but for eight guests it would be harder to eat or sit all in the same room at the same time. However, we had a lovely week and hope to use the cottage again in the future.

Lots of space, three separate seating areas, lounge, conservatory and the upstairs snug all with TV etc kitchen well equipped lots of space for food etc but would recommend a larger fridge as not big enough to fit food in for 5 of us and full capacity is for 8 people.. Although I had booked for 4 people but emailed yourselves and spoken to owner in advance to say there would be 5 of us only towels for 4 people were left for us to use. Bedrooms all large with plenty of storage space. Garden fab our lab loved running round it. Good to see a washing line too which we used most day to dry towels. Views front over the lake though you can't walk around the lake. To the back views stretch over to Holyhead and you can see the ferries come in and out. Holyhead closest for all major supermarkets and shops only 10 min away in the car. Would say there are issues when it rains especially in largest bedroom lots of evidence wet patches on all walls, but this want a problem and didn't affect our holiday. Looks like the owner is addressing this as we can see remedial work has been started on the flat roof. Situated on quiet road only a few cars a day went past.

Great cottage for a family group.. Lots of rooms for everyone to have their own space and// or spend time together. The garden is huge with lovely views across the fields to Holyhead. We took binoculars to watch the ferries coming and going.

Second night, roof leaked water soaking one bed, contacted owner who in fairness came quickly with a local builder but they where not sure what caused the leak.. The main bedroom suffers badly from damp which left a poor smell in the room, damp is also obvious in the hall and main living area walls which has started to ingress into the plug sockets. I spoke to the owner about the damp and he said, because it is an old building and has no dpc, you expect some damp which he usually treat and repaints. The properties facilities are excellent as is the rear garden, however as this is listed as pet friendly it should be noted that the surrounding roads are 60 mph with no footpath and the lake opposite the property which gives a great view from upstairs has no path or access to walk a dog. which when heavy farm machinery comes past it is quite an experience that we do not want to have again. Teenagers complained that wifi was to poor to stream, this i only found out on the Friday before the holiday. I feel that a more accurate listing of the property and the surrounding area would have been more helpful when selecting a property from your site. We have holidayed on Anglesey for over twenty years and this is the first time that we have come away disappointed and glad to come back home.

It was a fantastic holiday We had booked due to a really horrible year as a family from a large fire at home to parents being diagnosed with lung cancer and heart failure and that's was just some of it.. So we had booked because we wanted New year to be different and so we could just rest. This holiday was perfect and the cottage was totally awesome.

Wonderful cottage with excellent facilities.. Children (5 and 2) thought the garden was amazing and I lived watching the ferries come and go in the distance. Beautiful surroundings and great communication from the owner. Will be revisiting in the future. A new set of knives would be welcomed.

We stayed at Llys Llywenan at the start of July 2018, in searing heat and clear skies.. On arrival i was surprised just how quiet the location actually was given that the image shows it being on the side of the road.Do not be put off by that - it was really quiet !! On entering the property i was stunned by the size of the extremely well equipped and gorgeous kitchen. The living room was enormous and so very comfortable. The conservatory was beautiful too, however in the heat we were having at the time it was far too hot for us. That isn't a negative on the property, it was just so hot outside that it was unbearable !! The garden is lovely, my 2 year old granddaughter and my 9 year old Boxer dog had an absolute ball playing in the vast space !! The bedrooms were, like the rest of the property, beautifully equipped, with more than enough storage and very very comfortable beds !!! I cannot rate this property highly enough. I've rented many holiday properties over the years and this has to be one of, if not the best. You know its good when the only two complaints are the kitchen knives being blunt, and the absence of locks on the two bathrooms. Would i rent this again? You bet i would !!

The cottage was perfect for us because there was space for everyone and it was all on the ground floor which meant I could relax with my little one who has complex needs.. I felt quite sad driving away!

A lovely cottage in a quiet rural location with a large enclosed garden, ideal for the dog.. Well equipped and not far from beaches and other towns on the island. Well equipped with TV's in bedrooms, living area and conservatory. If you are looking a quiet and peaceful break then this is the place. My wife said " I could live here" I think that sums it up.

The family fell in love with the house and would certainly rent again. It was very spacious; plenty of drawer wardrobe space in the bedrooms beds comfy and TV's in 2 of the 4 rooms. Kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped. Lovely warm and welcoming living-room with big impressive fireplace and conservatory that ran the full length of living room. We were able as a family to each find our own space whilst staying connected. Have rented many holiday cottages over the years but none as good as this one.

Llys Llywenan is an absolutely amazing home, if there was more than excellent we would give it. It is a beautiful cottage with an amazing view from both sides. The cottage have such a lovely character of it is own and the furnishings of the cottage are to a very high standard. A detached property which meant we could open all curtain and blinds to enjoy the view while maintaining our privacy. The garden view was amazing as well you can never get bored of it, we didn't want to leave.

The property has good space, the family could not believe the many options it provided, particularly as the 'family' covered three generations.

July 2015
Llys Llywenan exceeded our expectations. It is a large, comfortable cottage situated in a quiet rural location with lovely views. It is clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting in the snug which has views over a lake, and the conservatory which overlooks the beautiful back garden and fields.

spent a week at this holiday cottage in July and didn't want to leave! Very comfortable and modern interior with a lovely large enclosed garden and plenty of parking. It has wifi which works and a decent mobile phone signal. The location is very good being within easy reach of the A55 making it easy to visit all parts of Anglesey. We never tired of the views - from the kitchen and conservatory you can see across countryside and watch ferries leaving Holyhead in the distance- from the upstairs sitting room there is a lovely view across the lake. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, the sitting rooms and conservatory are very comfortable with a TV each and the bedrooms have lots of storage space.(two of the four bedrooms have TVs) . Very clean and modern throughout.
