We had the best stay in this lovely clean and cosy bungalow.. Facilities exceeded expectations, with everything you could need in the kitchen. Views across the estuary to Portmeirion are amazing and the deciding factor when we booked, and we were not disappointed. Mrs Evan's Welsh cakes on arrival were also a lovely and welcomed touch. Have already recommended to a friend, who wants to visit the area. And we will look to booking again next year.

Tirionfa is clean and comfortable with everything needed for a good holiday.. Mrs Evans ensures we have everything available. The views from the front windows are amazing and the bungalow is situated in a prime position for reaching any area in Snowdonia. We’ve stayed here many times and will be returning.

On arriving at our cottage at evening time we were grateful to find heating and lights were on , and lovely welch cakes , also received phone call from landowner to see if we had arrived safely.. the cottage was very homely and suited our disabled parents , all facilities we needed were there ie towels and a well stocked kitchen. the view across the bay were stunning seeing portmeirion, 10 minutes down the road was harlech which was lovely for coffee and cake! my parents now in there 80s love the memories of driving on black rock sands and visited many past holiday places which brought back happy memories the cottage is suitable for young and old alike and we will be revisiting in the future. many thanks the snowden family

We had a magical holiday in Tirionfa.. Wonderful beaches, castles, waterfalls, mountains and steam trains. And a home from home to come back to. What more could you want. A fairyland in Portmerion. The children were so excited and the adults rested and relaxed.

Bungalow is lovely comfotable.. And spotless. Very central to lots of walks.castles.snowdonia.harlech and is lovely. Only one small problem the tv was limited to just 4 channels. My husband likes to relax with tv after a day of walking. We would certainly go again.

We had a wonderful week at Tirionfa, the cottage is spacious, very clean and tidy, the milk and welsh cakes were a lovely touch after a long journey as were the fresh flowers.. The views are beautiful and the weather was kind to us for most of the week, perfect location as you are central to lots of places to visit. Should you have any problems which I doubt Mrs. Evans is very helpful and only a phone call away.

Beautiful cottage, a real home from home.. Great location with gorgeous views of Port Merion. It was lovely that the owner was there to greet us on arrival with the kettle boiled and a plate a welsh cakes. Unfortunately our weather was dreadful, but it didn’t matter as it was lovely to get back to a warm and cosy cottage.

Unexpected bonus was cake, milk, everything needed for a well earned cup of tea after a very long journey.. Fresh flowers very welcome. Everything that was needed was provided. Cottage was well furnished and very clean. Weather very poor for first half of the week and then it picked up but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tirionfa.

The cottage sleeps 5, has 3 bedrooms and is all on one floor. The cottage is spotlessly clean, has comfortable beds, pillows and sofas, good TV and WiFi. There is a separate dining room. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer. The best furnishings we have had in a holiday property. The extra touches were appreciated-Welsh cakes, tea, coffee, milk and fresh flowers. The cottage is up a steep lane with a sharp left turn to the property and then steep incline to the parking area. There is a small tuning space at the bottom but can only be used by one vehicle. If there is more than one car it would have to reverse down the steep incline! The views of Portmerion across the Estuary are ever changing and spectacular. Keep the curtains open at night to see spectacular sunsets-the best we have ever seen. A photographers dream . There are no shops in the village and the pub (10 mins walk away) does not currently have a chef so no food is served. There is a large Tesco in Porthmadog.

Tirionfa is a very well presented and maintained cottage on the edge of Talsarnau. Although a reasonably peaceful location, it does front on to the main road, and traffic noise is evident at times. You are also in a working farming area, and there can be the expected farming noises (particularly sheep & sheepdogs) and 'aromas' at times. Talsarnau itself has few facilities, but what it does have (one Pub/restaurant and one motel/restaurant) are very good (although the pub, The Ship Aground, was in the process of changing chef and wasn't doing food while we were there).

Superb views.. Handily situated for Porthmadog. Pet friendly and our blind springer spaniel thoroughly enjoyed roaming the garden in complete safety. Great welcome from owner who is very helpful and responded quickly to any queries. Our second stay and all being well will not be our last. A lovely and refreshing break.

Just had a week stay here from 27th August. We received a lovely warm welcome with welsh cakes and a boiling kettle for a much deserved cuppa after a 6 hour journey. Owner very friendly. Cottage very clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Children and dog enjoyed running around the garden and us adults enjoyed sitting on the patio of an evening looking at the beautiful view of Port Meirion. All in all a fantastic week stay made better by this excellent value for money cottage. Thanks go to the owner and if we ever return to this area we would definitely not hesitate in booking to stay here again.

September 2016
Beautiful cottage, the best yet that I have stayed in.. As far as I and my family are concerned it was perfect for our needs. A lovely greeting by the owner who also had prepared Welsh Cakes and had the kettle ready for a cup of tea after our journey. The cottage was in a lovely setting looking across the estuary to Portmerion. However, the weather was awful which we had not expected, very misty and heavy rain which was disappointing. The Ship Aground in the village served very well prepared meals after 6 pm but not open during the day for lunch. We found it difficult to find somewhere for meal, it was mainly snack type meals. Kerfoots in Porthmadog was about the best for lunchtime eating. Unfortunately because of circumstances beyond our control, we had to come home on the Thursday which was a huge disappointment as we had been very comfortable in this beautiful bungalow.

Excellent cottage, very clean and comfortable with everything you could need to have an enjoyable stay.. Lovely warm welcome from owner with welsh cakes, fresh milk and even the kettle boiling ready for a cuppa after a 6 hour journey. Situated perfectly for Porthmadog and along the coastal path to Barmouth. The views of Portmeirion from this cottage are stunning. All in all a fantastic relaxing holiday was had by all the family. This is a fantastic cottage in an excellent location with all the facilities you would expect. Double glazed windows and efficient heating made for a warm, cosy stay. Fantastic area for our dog with a short walk down to the estuary. Ideally situated for visiting further afield with Snowdonia, Anglesey and Barmouth all within easy reach by road or even rail. We will definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend the cottage to any families, especially if you bring your dog along.

A beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings. The cottage itself was immaculately clean and everything you could possibly need was provided. The weather helped too but sitting out at the front overlooking the bay and Port Meirion in the distance was so relaxing. We will definitely go back again and recommend to other family and friends.

Have stayed in a large number of cottages over the years but this has to be one of the best. The cottage was beautifully decorated, there was ample crockery and nice quality equipment. Had my parents with me who commented that they felt like guests rather than visitors. The owner was very helpful, warm and friendly. We would visit again and definitely recommend.
