What an amazing place to stay! We were warmly welcomed by Rebecca and her gifts of cake and a bottle of wine. This house is immaculate and has everything you could want from a holiday home. We didn't want to leave. I would certainly recommend this accommodation for all: a romantic getaway, a family break, an adventure with friends. Thank you for an amazing break away.

The cottage and its location , the well kept, lawned garden with the beck and open fields behind, added peace and serenity making this an idyllic place to stay.. The cottage had been carefully restored and extended and was only minutes drive from the town centre and facilities. Our host provided us with a warm welcome and everything we needed!

Rebecca has a lovely home and made us feel very much at home.. On arrival we were met with a lovely welcome package of wine, cakes and halloween chocolate for the children. Rebecca had considered every need for our stay including nappies, wipes and bags which was a thoughtful touch. The facilities were very clean and nicely decorated. We will definitely stay again

A lovely house.. Very well equipped and very cosy. The cakes, milk and wine are nice after a long journey. Very easy to find, the directions were good. All amenities are a few miles away. The bird feeder in the garden is visited by lots of birds, which was great to watch whilst having our breakfast. Bird food was supplied, which is a lovely touch. We had a very comfortable stay and will try to go back.

A beautiful house in a peaceful setting.. It was lovely to sit outside and eat dinner listening to the leaves rustling in the trees. We had a warm welcome from the owner, she made sure we had everything we needed and provided some much appreciated goodies on our arrival! I think if you have tea and cake, it makes a house feel like home. Thank you very much for the gate lock and tarpaulin for the motorbike. It made his holiday having his baby with him, made my holiday having a happy other half! We all felt very spoiled at the end of the week.

This is one of the best houses we've stayed in - and there have been a few.. Massive kitchen- you could easily entertain 6 adults if you have visitors. The two separate living rooms are a godsend. The snug afforded us peace and quiet to read whilst the kids watched tv in the other room. The only down side was that it was a little way away from the action. About 7 mins drive to a large Tesco and swimming pool but nothing really within walking distance. It was fine for us because we had the car - a really great house!

Wonderful cottage in Wales - close to Swansea and the Gower, which we know well, but also close to the Brecon Beacons, which encouraged us to explore a new part of the country! The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owner gave us a very warm welcome, along with delicious homemade cakes! We will be going back.

Pondfield Gate is a great example of what a holiday cottage should be.. The renovation and extension of the original building has been very well done. The furnishings and decor are quite exceptional and the cottage comes with all the equipment that you need. The owner met us with a friendly and informative greeting and was available should we have needed her during the holiday. Wet weather kept us indoors on several occasions but this was not a problem in such nice accommodation. There is little to commend the village of Cymgors itself except that it is a convenient base for visits to Cardiff, Swansea, the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, all within an hour's drive. We also visited the National Trust properties at Aberdulais (40 minutes), Dinefwr (30 minutes) and Rhosilli (60 minutes). It was a good holiday only marred by too much liquid sunshine!

We so enjoyed our stay at Pondfield Gate. The cottage is set in a large garden with a great patio for eating or relaxing while watching the wild birds feed. The cottage itself is superbly furnished and has everything you could possibly need, inside and out. Two beautifully presented bedrooms with plenty of storage. The lounge with real log burner and comfy seating was lovely to settle down in after dinner in the evening, to watch TV or a DVD. The large kitchen/diner is flooded with light from the wall of windows overlooking the back garden, and is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more besides. With three WC, a gorgeous bath and large wet room, what more could you want? Well there IS more.. a second lounge, which is so pretty and bright and beautifully decorated. A great place to escape to, to read, listen to the radio, or just relax. We were in a good position to visit the beaches of Mumbles and The Gower, St.David's, The Botanic Gardens, Tenby and much much more. If you don't want to go far every day there are beautiful sights to be seen and picnic spots to be had in The Black Mountains, just a few minutes drive away. However, the cottage is so lovely, you might not want to go out. We certainly didn't want to leave! The owners live nearby and were charming and extremely helpful without being intrusive. We would most definitely love to stay again.
