Viscaria Apartment 2 Zermatt, Valais

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and it was the perfect size for two people. We really enjoyed the view of the Matterhorn and the town! Since the building is higher up on the hill, there were a lot of stairs to get to it but the view made it worth it!

Pros - Magnificent view of the Matterhorn - Large balcony - Close (ish) to town - Comfortable bed - Very quiet block of flats with lift - Bus stop right opposite the bottom of the path up the hill (red and green buses) Cons - Very small kitchen, no oven except for small electric plug-in type - Long walk up the hill although there is disabled access, not suitable for wheelchairs however - At the farthest end of town from the main lift, close to Sunnegga however

All good in our stay in Viscaria. The only thing it costs is to climb the stairs to get to the apartment. Once there everything is perfect, as offered. Perfect attention and service of delivery and reception of keys. Would definitely return

The important things for me were right: Quiet location (helicopter noise unfortunately unavoidable in Zermatt), view of the Matterhorn was wonderful, table by the window (for painting and reading on days without a hike), duvet not too thick (I only sweat a little). Small points of criticism, for example: pot lids do not match the size of the pots, the pots do not match the hotplates. Dreary room lighting with a ceiling lamp, needed a reading lamp. TV did not deliver SRF1, ARD

After some negative comments, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and nice the apartment was. The view over Zermatt and the Matterhorn surpassed everything. Only the "climb" over the stairs makes access to a sporty exercise unit ;-)

I liked the accommodation very much if you are used to climbing stairs. Unfortunately, the additional costs for bed linen, towels and final cleaning (charged per person) drove the final sum so high that I wouldn't rent it anymore.

well furnished and equipped apartment with all the necessities. however my only issue is that the pillow case was horrifyingly dirty with lots of dandruff, lint, hair, etc. Had to use a spare towel to cover the pillow before daring to use it. The apartment has a nice view of the matterhorn, however this comes at a steep price of climbing 6-7 stories equivalent in stairs and slopes. hence not advisable for elderly/disabled/those with lots of heavy luggages.

Average apartment, with excellent views of the valley and the Matterhorn, good furnishings and equipment, good cleaning, not suitable for those with mobility problems, there are 85 steps to reach the building. Suitable for stays of several days, otherwise the additional costs (cleaning + linen, etc.) greatly affect the total cost
