We were disappointed to find a piano that was unplayable.. We had specifically booked a house with a piano so that our children could practice during our stay. Otherwise the welcome was warm and the house met our expectations. Crockery and cutlery were not always very clean. A second toilet would have been a bonus with five people in the house.

The location of this old farmhouse is what makes it a standout place to stay.. It is near to so many of the great places to visit in Anglesey but also is in a unique place on its own - 5 minutes walk along an almost private track to a good beach; a mile further down a very accessible track than other properties & the only accommodation on the farm - ensuring peace, tranquillity & privacy.
Mr Kurowski, September 2019

Such a beautiful farm house in absolutely stunning surroundings.. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived by the host and his daughter. We loved the addition of the farm dog Jack and the three, free range chickens. The welcome pack was just what we needed for our first night after a lovely stroll along a very quiet beach. Thank you! In the week that we stayed here, we enjoyed many a walk down the private road to the beach. The children and ourselves loved every minute of our holiday and would recommend this house to everyone: we will be back!!

Bodlasan Fawr is a beautiful and especially peaceful cottage - one of the best places we've ever stayed in.. The cottage itself is a delight - an historic farmhouse with original features, wonderfully appointed, comfortable, beautiful bedrooms, plus all mod cons so pretty much perfect. The location itself is brilliant, a few minutes walk from the cottage door down a private country lane brings you to a delightful and deserted beach; a few minutes away in the car is Holy Island where we visited (and climbed to the top of) the spectacular South Stacks lighthouse and visited amazingly beautiful sea coves and cliff top walks and nature reserves. A fantastic holiday, we couldn't recommend it highly enough - thank you ! :o)

What an amazing cottage this is.. Spacious and comfortable with all the facilities we could want. An isolated, peaceful location but actually only a mile from the village and a very short walk down to the beach. The owners were friendly and very helpful.

Really friendly owners, who personally greeted us within an hour of our arrival.. When we entered our cottage we were greeted with the lovely sight of a bottle of wine and a pack of nibbles. The sights and friendliness of every on Ynys Mon was exceptional in every way. The only working mill on Ynys Mon was being refurbished by it's new owner when we tried visiting on the Tuesday, he invited us to revisit on the Thursday/ Friday when he would open early to accommodate us. Not only did this gentleman keep his word, he gave us a private personal escort round the mill, explaining much that we would not otherwise have known. Considering he wasn't due to open until the Monday after our holiday ended, we felt really welcomed and privileged. This gentleman refused our offer of payment, until I pressed him, declaring we wanted to be his first paying customers. We will be following the progress of the mill. And this young man's hospitality really made our holiday. His name was Richard ? (I don't recall his surname - wish I did) He is a credit to Wales.

A beautiful, cosy cottage.. Our daughter and grandchildren loved being able to walk straight to the beach without needing transport or to cross a road. It's 'our beach' now and we'll be returning. The house is warm and comfortable with everything we needed.

The farmhouse was located in the perfect spot.. So close to a beach that was empty almost every day. Our children loved feeding the chickens and had use of the owner's mountain bikes to ride around. Inside the farmhouse, it was airy and spacious. We will definitely be returning!

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.. The setting is beautiful in all directions. Our 2 year old grandson adored his private route to the beach, the friendly sheep dog and the hens. A very peaceful, remote yet safe setting for all generations. Spectacular views and sunsets over the sea and quiet breakfasts with views across open fields. The weather and the setting were truly spectacular. Very homely and comfortable house with plenty of space. We will definitley be returning for another family holiday soon.

2nd stay now and the kids still love the swing and the garden.. Having the track down to the beach on your doorstep is a bonus. The actual cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Really enjoy the lack of noise, the feeling of space and the view across the bay is lovely. Mr Evans is really helpful and we've have another great stay.

Lovely cottage in a very quiet remote area with beach 10 mins walk away down a private pathway next to holiday let. Met by lovely owners who showed us round. Lovely quaint cottage with a lovely homely feel to it. Could do with some slight TLC to walls and ceilings and maybe some new kitchen items as some are a little old i.e. Kettle. Toaster and utensils also bigger towels in bathroom would be good too plus some more shelving to store your toiletries though this does not detract from the lovely stay we had. On a working farm complete with Sheep chickens and a sheepdog called jack. Would come back in summer months when weather is better so we can do more .

We had an amazing week here! It's a perfect location from a shallow sandy beach. We saw 2 dog walkers in a week, so it's quiet too. The house has everything you could need for the week and the owners are very polite and welcoming. We had a lovely little welcome pack, including the freshest eggs I've had in a while. It gets really dark out there at night so it's a perfect spot for stargazing. We had a clear view of the milky way and watched the Orionids peak on our last night. I've never seen it so clear. No negatives, we cant wait to go back!

Considering how busy Anglesey can be, and the number of large caravan sites and developments with multiple holiday homes cheek by jowl, this cottage is ideal for those wanting peace, quiet and great views (for now at least - there is a small cottage adjacent to this that looks as though it is being developed and it although the buildings are listed there is always the possibility of barn conversions too, which would change things considerably).. The beach is perhaps not as picturesque as others nearby but very few people seem to know about it, so often we had it to ourselves. It is safe for swimming, though it's a long walk to the water at low tide, is easily accessible on foot down a sheltered private lane between hedgerows and lined with meadow flowers going down to small dunes.

The property was just as described, close to local amenities yet far enough away to enjoy total peace with only birds rabbits and cows for company, total bliss. It is a fabulous location, a real Enid Blyton 'Famous Five' place for children of all ages (even our age). I cannot fault it and I am sure we will return. We have returned home feeling as though we have had the best holiday ever. Congratulations to the owners who were very friendly but discreet, their execution of the renovation and their choice of décor was just perfect, thank you.

What a wonderful cottage. Truely isolated and utterly peaceful, enjoyed spectacular views across both the coast and the Anglesey countryside. What better way to spend a windy evening than toasting your toes in front of the log burner, before going to bed in one of the beautiful and cosy bedrooms? The pictures of the cottage really don't do it justice.
