We had a very good week in this place.. The cottage is quite cosy downstairs, the beds are comfortable. It was a very warm week but we managed to keep the cottage sufficiently cool and we enjoyed having a garden at our disposition. For four adults the cottage would be a little tiny (e.g. the dining table is not so large) but for a family it was just right and the only thing we would recommend is to slightly expand the number of cups, cutlery etc. But the dishwasher was quick and quiet so this is a minor point. The owners live next to the cottage and are helpful but do not intrude.
What we especially liked here is the area the cottage was situated in, which absolutely exceeded our expectations. We were planning to use the place mainly as a base to go to the Brecon Beacons, but actually we almost only stayed in the area which is at the same time very pretty, quite laid back seeming a bit overlooked by the mainstream, yet full of things to do; we walked in the beautiful and varied scenery (meandering rivers/towering cliffs/wild forests/good pubs), went cycling, canoeing and all of that within very easy reach of the cottage. When we left we concluded we could have easily stayed another week.
