Where do you want me to start! The worst holiday let we have ever stopped in. Firstly it needs a full professional deep clean. The building smells of damp which reflected by water running down the wall next to the bed and damp patches in the living room. The kitchen area including inside the few cupboards in the apartment are filthy inside. The tea towels that are left look like they have been used on the floor. It's lacking basic necessities like oven gloves. The shower is full of mould and no drying mat. The bedroom wardrobe is unusable due to the wet damp wall and smells. You can hear every sound from the appointment about down to the mobile phone ringing. States a garden but can not be used. Overall this property should not be let out until extensive work is carried out to bring it up to a holiday let standard. Looking back at a review in 2019 most of these issues were raised then. Skyes should not be letting this property out.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the slipway. This time over Christmas week. The accommodation is very central, a stumble away from great pubs shops and restaurants. The private garden and Parking are a bonus and the apartment itself is fitted with beautiful, quality furniture and carefully chosen furnishings. It really is a home from home. We would recommend it to anyone great for dogs too!

Loved our stay in this cute cottage, conveniently situated across the road from the sea and close to shops, pubs and restaurants. There's a private garden across the road with a little table and chairs and a private parking space. You can find everything you'd expect to find at home here, including a smart TV with Sky and access to Netflix, etc., books to read and board games to play, so even on a rainy day you'll be comfortable and happy. Super clean throughout and comfy bed that you won't want to leave. Definitely recommend.

THE Slipway Smelt damp when we opened the door , All three Windows where in a bad Condition The wardrobe was a Storage cupboard with A HOOVER and some kind of Appliance in there, Rugs on the Floor were in a bad Condition, When the wind blew the Front Door and Windows Rattled not enough Drawers for our cloths, The Cabinet one side of the bed had Handles MISSING, The other side of the Bed had one small Draw and a small SPACE at the Bottom, Very NOISY with the Apartment above every time someone walks about you could hear everything, Will not Consider the Slipway again

This cottage/apartment is amazing.. It's quirky, comfortable, and really welcoming. The couple of issues we had were sorted by the landlord and had little impact on our enjoyment. The location is stunning and penzance is a beautiful place. Take a bus ride to Lands End..... Great experience in the narrow winding roads. Mousehole is a lovely walk and met some great locals on the back in Newlyn. Will definately be back at some point. Thank you. X

The accomidations themselves where as stated in the listing perfectly, the showers was powerful and hot and everything was in order.. the only downside was when er entered the property is was a bit musty which caused my parter a bit of trouble since she has very sensative skin to stuff like that. luckly a bit of febreeze and using her own sheets she baught with her sorted that out. the frindge was nice and cold and the tv had lots of options to watch from thanks to the sky box, the internet was excellent for our use and should be for most people. all in all an excellent property for most people and would stay again in the future.

The Slipway was perfect for the Penzance section of our Cornwall visit.. It is a large but cozy cottage, ideally located and suited to explore Penzance itself. We recommend it highly! Paul & Anne.

Had a wonderful week with girlfriend and our dog. The slipway was very clean and comfortable. Great central location and a quaint little garden. Two really nice pubs 2 minutes walk ( the Turks head & the admiral benbow) both dog friendly.

Comfortable apartment but seemed more like being in a small cottage, you felt at home.. . A view of St Michael's Mount from the front door. and two minutes from the harbour . Interesting shops in Penzance. Good places to eat ,local pubs nearby .

Great position with parking facility .. ...let down by broken shower head fitting and en-suite sink plug not working . Would be nice to have a welcome pack of basic provisions ....milk , tea and bread ....not too much to ask after a 6 hour journey thereby negating the need to rush off to the shops upon arrival .

The slipway was comfortable, cosy and very homely.. With added touches like a welcome pack with goodies and an added bonus of a real xmas tree. We really enjoyed our stay in the slipway. We didn't miss anything from home over xmas as the property was so well equipped.

Charming, cozy cottage in a perfect location.. Very good facilities, but the cooking pots are really in need of new acquisition. Nevertheless: highly recommended!

Lovely location and beautiful flat.. Excellent for both town and exploring around. Could do with a deep clean as when we moved the bedside table to check for a lost earring , the cobwebs were in abundance. Also cobwebs above the bed. The flat above had a 2 year old and 5 year old with parents staying and the noise from the kids running feet at 6.45 am on wards was really noisy and a pain when trying to sleep . Otherwise -great !

Easy to find dog friendly cottages and easy to book.. We were happy with the price we paid and at being able to pay in instalments. Helpful emails received through the process and prior to arrival. We would use your company again.

The Slipway is a very cosy and comfortable cottage.. It was exactly what we had hoped for during our two night stay. Perfect location and close to everything in town. The very welcome box of chocolates and red wine were also appreciated - thank you. There are a few things I would like to mention, which might be useful to the owners: Firstly, it would have been so nice to have arrived to find some milk in the fridge, and some teabags. We struggled through the snow and ice of "The Beast of the East" to get to Slipway and then found we had to go out immediately to buy these simple, cheap items before we could make ourselves a cuppa. Also the coffee and tea mugs were badly stained and I had to wash some cutlery and crockery before using them. It would have been really helpful, too, if there had been some soap in the bathroom - again, it was another trip the shops in the freezing temperatures. Secondly, we asked for a slightly later check out on Sunday (one hour) which Thaddeus kindly agreed to; but I just wonder if 3pm check in and a 10am check out is rather ungenerous, even for allowing for the cleaners to changeover. In my experience a 2pm check in and a 12 midday check out has been the norm. These are only observations which I hope might be useful. They didn't stop us having a lovely time a The Slipway - albeit very short. Thank you again.

Pros:Cozy, comfortable apartment Central location Wine and choccies on arrival (thanks! ) Cons:Garden not attached so if staying with a dog have to walk a short distance on the road to let them out Parking not obvious to find. Overall a great place for exploring the area and would definitely stay again

We took Slipway as part of a larger party staying at The Abbey.. It's a nice small flat. Not really suitable for more than 2 people as the bathroom is off the main bedroom so does not work for 2 couples. Very pleasant though.

What a gem of a holiday cottage! So comfortable had everything needed for a perfect break. Centrally located in Penzance within easy walking distance of pubs restraunts and shops and quay. Lovely bottle of red wine to welcome us. Dog friendly only one word of caution the only entrance and exit is via front door which opens straight out onto road not a problem for us but maybe with some dogs or children if they dash out.

On arrival all was good we found we had been left a lovely starter of bread, milk, eggs, butter, juice and a bottle of Prosecco. Initially this apartment looked lovely, kitchen area, bedding and towels clean.Unfortunately on closer inspection the pillows were absolutely disgusting and the shower filthy, the grout and shower hose were covered in disgusting black mould, which my wife had to clean before use. Also very dusty and nothing had been moved to clean, several spiders webs showing under couches and furniture and several wires were lying about attached to extensions. Although this is advertised for 4 there is no way 4 people could stay here comfortably and only 2 bath towels provided, as there is no w/machine we had to use a local laundrette. Only 2 of us and I had to leave my suitcase in the living room as there was no room in the bedroom. The wardrobe was very damp and musty and had black mould on the wall, it was full with spare quilt, pillows, ironing board, iron and vacuum. The windows in the living area were painted shut so if we wanted fresh air we had to leave the door open, not great as road was very busy. Also one reason we booked here was the advertised garden but it was unusable as it was unkempt and the furniture very old and filthy. This property could be great but requires a deep clean and re-painted and the garden lanscaped.

The cottage was comfortable and central to shops and town and ideal for two people. The weather was good to us and we visited somewhere different each day, St Ives is only 35 minutes away by bus. Our dog was happy and liked the garden. It was great to have an off road parking place.
